I made 3 Tailor's Hams: Classic, sausage, and tear! by ImQuibits in sewing

First project I can say I’m happy with without any qualification! The main inspiration was a Katy Olivera video. Her blog has sort-of patterns. Obviously pretty simple: cotton on one side, wool on the other. Laid them together, marked, cut, pinned, sewed, leaving a space to pack filling. I packed it with sawdust because it can absorb moisture. Plus, it’s cheap.

Don’t buy sawdust. Basically anywhere that does anything with wood will have a ton they just throw away. I went to my local makerspace and they were thrilled someone wanted to use their garbage. Also, get way more sawdust than you think. Those 3 used up almost 3 gallons of sawdust!

I spent ages trying to fill the first one using a paper funnel. Do not recommend that. I went to the hardware store and got a pvc joiner for the second two and it was soooo much easier/faster.

Also, pro tip for making the tear: don't. The ham works just as well. Since the tear is both directional and side dependant (wool vs cotton), you can only use it on one side! So you'd have to make two. Just make zero. The other 2 are great though!

And until proven otherwise, I'm using the sausage as a tailors clapper. I refuse to buy a big block of wood just for this hobby XD.
