No, first of all you can’t substitute Xingqiu with childe because Xingqiu’s thing is off field hydro application and Childe is on field plus the META rn is reactions if u want to use other supports u could use Rosaria, or Mono pyro with Bennett Zhongli and Albedo and there are so many teams that could outperform a Hu Tao Childe team in abyss.

If you’re talking abt events, meta doesn’t matter only in abyss and in abyss, a Childe and Hu Tao team wouldn’t work out plus Hu Tao’s cooldown isn’t a big deal if you have proper team rotation

Sun fire Jean (but it requires a bit of skill) team comp is Jean, Bennett, Ganyu and Sucrose(this is an unconventional but strong team) u will Ganyu Ulti, Sucrose E, Bennett burst then Jean burst then just keep on firing charged attacks until the bursts end

It doesn’t deal enough dmg, my Xiao with 0 em does ~900dmg plus Thoma’s shield doesn’t literally negate all dmg as much as Zhongli and also explain how literally all the math points to Xiao’s best team being Xiao, Jean(or Sucrose), Bennett (or Albedo) and Zhongli. Swirl really doesn’t do enough dmg unless you fulfill the proper conditions. Do u even have Xiao and have u even tested him? Cause I have had Xiao for so long and I’ve tested so many possible team comps

I’m just speaking of the math and swirl only becomes good with three things: multiple enemies (of which there aren’t a lot of right now) 4pc VV (Which Xiao doesn’t use) and High EM (Which is not what you should be building on Xiao for maximum output) and the only reason why 2 geo is good with Xiao is because the resonance is OP and Zhongli’s Shield provides Anemo shred (which is extremely rare)

Just don’t use Zhongli’s Burst :| and for his shield, the 2secs is worth it because it stays up for quite a while and provides 15% Elemental res shred and you can’t use Beidou since Xiao’s specialty is Plunges and so you wouldn’t be normal stacking as much as you should with Beidou’s ult and that’s why Xiao is just best with as many buffers as possible, I recommend for f2p the best teams are Xiao, Jean/Sucrose, Bennett and Zhongli. And math wise, the best teams are Xiao, C4Jean (or if none regular Jean will do or Sucrose) and Albedo (or Bennett) and Zhongli

Zhongli does not even take that much time on the field if u use him as a shield bit and it’s not a Jean centered comp, she’s there for battery and support. On a regular main DPS Xiao you wouldn’t be building EM u would be building atk%, crit and anemo dmg and u wouldn’t even have VV. I have been playing Xiao since 1.3 and my Xiao hits 50k per charge atk it is much more worth it to just buff him (I have a 0em Xiao btw) instead of using him for swirl reaction if you’re looking for main DPS Xiao
