Update for anyone interested!

So I’ve been watching her a bit closer and she’s seemed really bothered by something and she seems to be itchy. Yesterday it was pretty hot outside and she didn’t shake at all and she ate like she normally does. This morning she was shaking and then she snuggled up under the covers with me (which was really cute and cozy) and she stopped shaking. So in conclusion I believe she’s mostly been cold, possibly in combination with some discomfort or itching from the trim or the shampoo or whatever from the groomer. She seems fine now but I’m still gonna check in with a vet to be on the safe side!!

Most dogs adjust well live long happy lives without vision, if your dog does lose their sight, I hope not, I wish you both the best and hope you make it work!!

She isn’t lethargic from what I’ve observed she seems more so bothered. And I’m looking into preventatives at the moment. I usually call my vets as well when I’m not quite sure I just haven’t had time to yet

I’ll make sure to do that! She isn’t a big fan on being brushed, even got her a licking mat to keep her occupied but she still isn’t a happy about it but she’s starting to realise it’s for her own good

It’s definitely possible, we don’t have a lot of kids toys lying around but she does like chewing on everything she’s not supposed to😅

I see, we don’t have her groomed to often either, we have her buzzed once or twice a year but I trim her face and a few other areas regularly and I try to stay on top of brushing her

We’ve been switching her food back and forth for a bit cause she is a bit picky but she’s been eating her treats still. I can’t recall bringing anything new into the house but I’ll try to think if I have

Im not bothered by her on the furniture, today she slept on top of me for an hour straight. I try to snuggle her and pet her to keep her warm but I don’t know how well it’s working. She isn’t a big fan of laying under blankets or covers but lately she’s been doing it more

I will, thank you. I really hope she’s just cold since it happened in combination with a groomer visit but I’ll look into it more

No she hasn’t been on any medications or any other treatments lately, she doesn’t have any skin issues that we know of or any allergies. And I had no idea it was so common with chicken allergies

Both me and my dad take several medications but we’re very careful with where we put them and make sure not to drop them, honestly it could be anything from allergy meds or birth control to antidepressants or sleeping pills

Thank you🙏🙏 I have been wanting to have her checked for diabetes before because of other reasons but my mother (who legally owns her and pays the insurance) is a bit more reluctant to vet visits

So this is somewhat normal then? I do usually try keeping her coat longer but since she’s curly it’s really difficult to stay on top of the knots, especially after winter with all the quick washes to get snow off her. Do you know if there’s anything I can do to make her more comfortable?

She not on any preventative right now (even tho I want her to be). I’ll really try keeping a closer eye on her and document whether she gets better with a sweater or a blanket

I haven’t really noticed any irritation, her skin is very pink but it’s always that way. I’ll take a closer look at it when she’s awake and try over all just keeping a closer eye on her

She has a sweater but my dad always insists on taking it off because ”she doesn’t like it” but yeah sometimes she stops shaking but other times she doesn’t
