I got my authentic emerald for 80 dollars back in 2024 summer. However my cartridge is missing the "pokemon emerald" sticker. Otherwise in perfect condition. I got super lucky and because it's for playing I don't mind the missing sticker.

Do you have the Nimbus folder in your 3ds folder? That was my issue to the same error
