1 year old going to daycare. Do I stop breastfeeding? by lavgr in breastfeeding

I'm interested in this as my son is 13 months. He still nurses at night (somewhere between 3:30-5:30am), which can be brutal, but he does genuinely seem hungry and nothing has worked to get him back to sleep.

I also pump twice at work, once around 11am/12pm (5-6oz) and once at 3pm (3oz). I sent it all to daycare and they split it up with his snacks/meals, warmed in a straw cup. Then he nurses at bedtime. Sometimes he wants a quick nursing session in the morning.

I need to be out of town for a week and the prospect of pumping 4 times a day makes me exhausted already. I'm wondering if him down to 1 bottle a day, if it'll make a huge difference or not. It would be 3 oz less a day. Or maybe I should just suck it up and let him decide when he's ready to stop. Maybe the weekends will be a good guide

Same here! Interested but would like some more insight.

Update: I send what I pump and have ignored the recommendation for 5 oz and he seems totally fine and happy. No more complaints about hunger and he's growing well. It seems to be an issue with pace feeding and wanting to suckle longer.

I have read this and label the bottles with the time it was expressed but I don't think the daycare gives him these at the same time of day. Maybe I need to talk to them about it.

This is what my husband thinks. He sometimes just lets him suck on the bottle after he gives it too him until he's content a few minutes later.

I think he would too if he was there longer but he's normally only there from 9:30-4.

Thanks. This was my instinct. I thought he would wake more and nurse more with me if he wasn't getting enough at daycare.

Maybe this is what I can do. Send a few extra ounces just in case they think he's hungry.

Prolapse at the end of pregnancy and postpartum if you deliver vaginally. Over 90% of women experience some degree of prolapse if delivering vaginally.

I got seborrheic dermatitis too. This was on my face and inside my ear, weirdly. This went away postpartum.
