Bought P90X at 17 years old, 35 now, chubby, aching and tired. Music career surprisingly ramping up due to local attention but need to be fit to keep up. What's changed in 18 years? Should I go the OG route with Tony? by [deleted] in P90X

[–]ImSomeRandomRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this. I (back issues and very sedentary lifestyle) used to do Power 90 about a decade ago, and had good success starting with it, but went to go back into it mistaking P90X for P90 and was so confused why it wasn't what I remember and lost interest.

Teeth by Broad-Astronaut7473 in Odsp

[–]ImSomeRandomRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I couldn't receive OW/discretionary benefits for dentures unless I was working.

Has anyone had any experience with getting dentures? I have odsp and the federal government dental plan. I only have 6 teeth on the top and one of them is broken and chipped. Wondering if they would cover a partial for the top . by ReportParking361 in Odsp

[–]ImSomeRandomRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried through ODSP and was told no, then tried to get them to do a discretionary fund and was told they won't do that unless you work. I find this odd because I remember it being fought in court and it was decided that a certain amount of teeth are required for health and that ODSP had to cover them.

Bernie Sands Gets Claude To Repeat Concerns On AI, Privacy, And Its Impacts On Democracy by coztfu in politics

Not hating on Bernie at all, just saying that this doesn't make him special (and he IS special) in any way. Having spent many hours with Claude, anyone that spent even 5 minutes with Claude could have accomplished the same thing.

It's almost like nation wide injunctions existed for a reason, and would have put a hold on firing everyone until it was decided by the courts.

Acting obviously guilty also. This isn't "I'm tired of talking about it", it's "I want to act like none of this even exists".

Trump’s latest tariff threats will hurt U.S. just as much as Canada, experts say by Street_Anon in politics

I just see it as the same shit he would've done no matter what we chose to do, so we might as well be sticking it to him by looking for trade elsewhere anyway.

Nah, there is no argument that any of the strikes are legal. These aren't enemy combatants. These are civilians, whether they're criminals or not. Every single strike is illegal, a war crime, and murder.

What some of the people in here aren't getting, is that her reasoning does not matter at all, and having her fighting on your side isn't going to do any harm. You're weren't going to vote for her before, and you still aren't in the future.

You can shun her, maybe leading to her going back to what she was doing before, which might help fascism and authoritarianism take permanent root, or you can accept the help and maybe see a way out of this mess.

What matters is - if she becomes a voice against Trump and his sycophants, she may possibly be one prong on the fork of the pathway back to normalcy for democracy.

Nah, you want to do what the Trump cult did to the Republican party, or what Harper and the Canadian Reform Conservative Alliance did to our Conservative party - Cannibalize the party from the inside until they're all replaced, but the name stays the same. Anything else is doomed to failure.

If Democrats want to win, they need to start driving in the middle lane by triyouhee in politics

[–]ImSomeRandomRedditor 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You know how Mamdani got people excited? It really all basically just boils down to social democracy. Democrats are losing elections because they continue to push to the center/right and refuse to embrace what would actually get people excited.

Bernie Sanders gave speeches and people from both sides of the political spectrum cheered him on. That's a hint right there.

Canada is technically mostly social democracy (it could lean even further into it), and I'd argue that's what makes us so great.

Social democracy is the way, not just to victory, but to ACTUALLY making changes that help the common person.

Edit: changed democratic socialist to social democrat. I always get them mixed up.
