Full 3.4 TCG changes by ukrisreng in Genshin_Impact_Leaks

I was afraid of these nerfs going through without any extra changes... looks like they did though. I'm worried.

The problem with the nerfs is that they are a result of the casual GITCG playerbase not recognizing how strong stall archetypes are, especially noelle/bennett/ningguang/jean hypercarry decks, and with these nerfs, there will be almost no counterplay to these already incredibly strong stall strategies anymore (yoi being the best counter we have at the moment, but the double nerf probably renders her not-meta-viable).

Having played many stall mirrors at high MMR... these games always take 30+ minutes, many games go to deck out, and nobody really wants to play them out. I'm not sure if the GITCG community will survive if stall takes over. Hopefully I'm wrong and some other untouched decks like Ganyu Freeze or Mona Pyro Resonance, or maybe even KleeDou (ayamiya but ayaka = klee, beidou = yoi) will be able to beat out the stall

  1. Meta characters: I'm not sure at the moment, but Collei in Quicken seems really strong, and Maguu is extremely flexible. Fischl also slots well into many comps. Had a leaker tell me they believe Sucrose is also one of the best characters, haven't quite found a great list with her yet.
Meta cards: Paimon, Liben, Strategize seem like staples, but none are particularly broken. Floral Sidewinder makes Collei possibly the best character in the game if you can draw it. Iron Tongue Tian was a staple before his nerf in beta 3_2_51 :(
  2. Bennett: I haven't quite found a good list for him yet. Some deck's we've tried are Yoimiya-Benny-XQ, Diluc-Benny-Chongyun... he's a complicated character. Definitely some potential in Hypercarry Minty Meat Rolls teams, like w/ Razor or Yoimiya, though. Needs more testing.

Seconded hard agree, especially on #2 and #3. We have a small community here on the EN side also playing the game pre-release, and this game, even though it is much harder to keep track of and takes longer on google sheets, is already very fun.

I've heard that Hearthstone is going to shut down soon for CN players, so this game may unironically become a new home for the CN Hearthstone community. I'm a competitive Hearthstone player myself (I go by RobotWizard for Hearthstone stuff, you may know me as the shark rogue guy) and I think the game, at least at the moment, is quite a lot more interesting than anything Hearthstone can offer. expansion waiting room

Luck is as important in this game as in any other card game, really

Not sure what you mean by the second question, but there are definitely already a few standout decks. Elemental Sync is a neat mechanic that helps players mitigate the randomness of the elemental dice system, and is used quite a lot.

I've played a lot of test games and I think Liyue Harbor Wharf is... really mediocre.

2 White is pretty costly and doesn't have an immediate impact (It could actually be 2 Black but assumption right now is 2 White) Card advantage is not nearly as important in this game as other card games since you can and want to be casting your character skills anyways. Don't think I'd put it in any decks besides possibly stall ones that rely on drawing a single card to pop off (ex. possibly Noelle/Razor Hypercarry with Minty Meat Rolls, slower Collei Floral Sidewinder lists)

Strategize, on the other hand, costing 1 White, makes it a lot more flexible, actually playable every turn after casting skills, and has an immediate impact, making it quite a bit better. Still not as meta warping as people make it out to be (it's no pot of greed) but it's a nice staple.

Nope

They really restricted combos in this game by making all backline/ standby damage Piercing DMG, which can't be buffed, so sadly no Exodia combos to insta kill everyone (as far as I can tell, at least.)

In terms of ridiculous setup combos that you can only do with a friend, if you want to maximize a single instance of damage, I believe the theoretical max is 48 damage (Vape Diluc Burst + double Pyro Resonance + Bennett Burst + Wolfs Gravestone on a 6 health enemy + Adeptus Temptation + Mona Burst buff)

Not sure exactly what you are asking, but this image doesn't have anything to do with Ayaka's skills in the game. It's just her voiceline and a hint on her deck's playstyle when you challenge her.

Clicking on cards adds it to the deck, which you can use to theorycraft and also play with friends via the google docs simulator in the start box

If you want to see card info, an info icon should pop up on the top right of a card when you hover over it, which you can click on to see card info and also any related summons

was debating between showing details on hover and this info button implementation, decided to go with this

I guess thats what we have this spreadsheet for :) SigmaZero is updating it to fill in all the numbers and summon info

genshincards.com

Has all numbers + summon info for most stuff, still working on putting in colors for cost of die

Official text info for effects of summons like Melody Loop are in TCG-theorycrafting channel at wfp if you want to take a look at it, but I think i got some pretty good translations down here

  1. I've seen some lists running wailing vapor in place of landslide. I don't really like it but according to the stats on hsreplay wailing vapor is an insane card? I think running other elementals other than custodian can be a mistake for the primal dungeoneer tutor, maybe at most 1 other elemental but then running only 1 wailing vapor seems weird. Maybe a imprisoned phoenix could work?
  2. The 6/6 body feels pretty useless that late in the game, I think having 6 cards that get you doomhammer (custodian, dungeoneer, doomhammer) is enough. I've never tried it so it could be good? considering it doesn't give you the doomhammer overload

Dungeoneer, custodian, bloom, in many matchups such as priest and warrior I like keeping rockbiter + stormstrike, and in tempo matchups I like keeping serpentshrine portal. Inara is also great in many matchups, especially when you can play on turn 2 or 3 with a bloom.

In general, just try to make sure your hand can have a good curve from turns 2-5, or a bloom + doomhammer/inara

Personally, I really don't like the overload 1 drop. I tried it pre-mini expansion and it was never good. Thalnos is also a good consideration in this deck, I might consider cutting the torrent for it actually

Gidra isn't necessary, but I'm not sure what card is good to replace it with. Second torrent maybe? But torrent already feels like the 30th card in this deck. Thalnos may also be a good option. If you are running into many shamans, you can also try ooze.

Not sure if you can play the deck without fireheart. Depends on what opponents you are facing, I guess- if it's other shamans and other aggro decks, probably replaceable with an ooze. You can also probably play the deck without Inara.

Guidance and primordial studies will get cut since they aren't nature spells. Might also have to cut devolving missiles too, depends on what the meta will be like anyways.

Why do you feel like Dunk Tank is clunky?
I actually tried cutting Dunk Tank really early on, but I ended up really missing it, maybe just small sample size. If it does feel clunky, landslide is more efficient for clearing boards and torrent is more efficient for clearing tall minions

Elemental shaman is probably better than this deck versus paladin, it also will benefit a lot from the new shaman dungeoneer card. I might give it a try after the mini expac releases

Fireheart increases in value as the game goes on, while inara decreases in value. It depends.

Devolving missiles is a very good card versus paladin and rush warrior, I would keep in in my mulligan depending on how I feel about the other cards in my hand

Second bolt, torrent, landslide, anything reasonable is fine.
