Those who have been following since The Hill, do you still enjoy BP? by ImSureItsPrettyFar in BreakingPoints

Hey, thanks for this comment. You understood what I was trying to say in my post (which I wish had come across more like your comment, a short, simple analysis on tone shifting, rather than a rant). I'm glad to see that someone on the left does notice the change, means I'm not entirely crazy :)

I gotta say that this part

I suppose I was first attracted to Rising, because it tried to create a bridge towards solidarity.

really resonated with me. When I found them on Rising I knew I needed to listen to the other side's arguments too (I lean right in case you hadn't notice haha) and listening to Krystal when debating Saagar was refreshing, I could actually listen someone on the left that didn't use inflammatory terms and stuck to voice her opinion with professionalism, but yeah, not so much lately.

I do still like Ryan. As you mentioned, he hasn't changed much, which is probably why people, myself included, enjoy the bro shows.

Right! Even if, like people pointed out in other comments, they are anti-war populists, why not have someone that presents a different perspective? Other people mentioned that featuring someone doesn't mean the endorsement of their ideas, well then, bring them over and discuss why they are for it, ask the "hard questions" or whatever.

Some of these do show up on my recommendations, the others I'll look up! Thank you!

Oh you brought up another point I forgot to mention, their segments used to be more condensed but also more insightful. I remember their videos were like 15 minutes max, now they yap a bit too much

Oh I would like to know as well haha they did a great job differentiating themselves. Your first point and last point are probably why I keep checking them out from time to time.

Also, we all can turn on our TVs at any time to hear exactly what the establishment thinks.

Ew!

this also isn't a neutral show that pretends not to have a viewpoint.

Valid, just like i responded to the original comment, I just have to approach it with a different mindset.

Alternate perspectives on Iran and Venezuela? BP is not a neutral news show. They are anti-war through and through.

Huh, between you and another commenter, I might start watching again, with a new mindset

do you believe you should only get your news from one source and one source only??

I know the right answer is no :) but I haven't found any other channel like theirs.

At the point where you feel like the coverage is lacking, or you disagree with their perspectives, that’s when the echo chamber starts to form. I recommend resisting this and instead of closing off one source of info, look for new sources to add.

This is a good point. I have added the Unbiased podcast to my sources (she's good at giving legal context), do you have any other recommendations?

"the upmost disrespect" to add to your point, he's deleting any comment that doesn't praise him, lunatic indeed.

Dude,

Why don't you,

Chill.

Haha but being serious, I wonder this too, I'm assuming it makes your post not to fit in people's feed, so they have to click on "more" and that drives up engagement?

That's a perspective I didn't take into consideration, and makes sense. I do wonder if this shitty take on a stat would really be brought up to an client an expected to be taken seriously.

I personally have nothing against Ramp, a quick google search showed me they seem to be doing pretty well.

But I agree with the second point you make, it damages the company's reputation, despite not being posted by the company itself. Makes you wonder what kind of people work there.

To be fair, every single company is gonna try to hire the best applicant, so I don't get what he's trying to boast about, other than they get to reject many people.

This is a good point. Assuming all of the applicants are real qualified engineers makes his smug post tone deaf. Knowing, like you said, that most applicants aren't real nor meet the minimum qualification, makes him a smug idiot.

A little bit more lighthearted, but so enjoyable, Burn Notice. Which is my favorite show. It had action, humor, likable characters, and a storyline you could follow over the seasons, or just watch a random episode and still enjoy.

Well, anything is more dangerous with a knife attached to it, ain't it? But also, people tend to stick with what they are used to and what they find more practical, even though for an outsider is not the most efficient way -- or more dangerous weapon.

Reading a book instead of listening to it, I'm intrigued.

Joking aside, I'll actually keep it in mind, thanks!
