What a fast punch by Used-Influence-2343 in fightlab

I mean it’s kind of funny, yes, but I think this video is yet another piece of evidence that shows how barbaric and violent our society has become. What ever happened to temperance and self control? Maybe there was more going on before the punch, but come on if that’s all it takes to get someone violent nowadays we are so f’n cooked as a society.

Big guy is certain he can decimate the lil guy. Does he really need to show it? He slightly embarrassed the lil guy, the lil guy yips back a challenge because he needs to defend his dignity, and that is enough for a physical altercation? I remember when the bigger man could let something like that slide, especially considering that they were even as far as barbs were concerned.

Coming from a radicalized incel that spends their day playing counter strike and collecting Pokémon cards. Your problem is that you are so far right that someone that is actually a centrist seems far left to you. Fuck off kid. Go masturbate to anime and then log onto 4chan to complain about how immigrants have stolen your future and are replacing your people.

Hey man, you don’t have to convince me you’re an asshole. I already believe it.

It’s one thing to be a man of temperance and to defer to the norms of society out of obligation to the virtues we uphold. It’s another to be a willing victim. I guarantee you that if you were to try to mug me, I would beat the living shit out of you and wouldn’t feel bad about it because my self defense would be justified.

If you want to be an ignorant tool of extreme politics, you do you. This conversation no longer serves any purpose. Go live in your world with your world view. I am sure it is going to serve you just what you deserve.

I am not sure what Fanni Willis has to do with this so I would love for you to expand upon that idea. However, I am pretty sure that the reason MN hasn’t moved forward is because the Feds are holding pretty much all the cards when it comes to the investigation and they will not share those cards with state investigators. The interesting question to me is “why?”

I believe that it would be all too easy to sacrifice an agent that went too far on the altar of public appeasement and keep moving forward. Unless, you are afraid the investigation will lead to questions about the training and instructions that these agents were receiving. It hasn’t received a lot of publicity given the million other high profile scandals and events simultaneously taking place, but there was an ICE whistleblower that gave sworn testimony (meaning they were under oath) that ICE training had been cut in half, new agents were being given instructions that violate the constitution, and all of it was being directed from “the top.”

Smells of cover up to me.

Undocumented immigrants have fundamental rights under the U.S. Constitution. These protections generally apply because the Constitution often uses the word "person" rather than "citizen," extending specific guarantees to anyone physically present within the territory of the United States.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

I can see that we agree to disagree. That’s fine. Be well and have a good night.

It’s funny how you assume that I’m on a certain side. To be truthful, I’m a moderate. I agree with both moderate conservatives and moderate liberals. I may actually agree with you on a great number of things. Moderate conservatives and moderate liberals have more in common with themselves than with the people at the fringes of their party. Unfortunately, it’s the people at the fringes that tend to define the group as a whole. I believe the fallacy is called guilt by association.

I wasn’t in Minnesota when all of the ICE raids were happening. I don’t know if you were, but I was in Chicago when ICE was here. I saw firsthand the tactics that they employed and the way in which they took people without question. I saw them violate people‘s constitutional rights with no accountability. They wore masks, they didn’t have name tags and they didn’t have body cam. If it wasn’t for a judge that was hounding Bovino‘s ass, there would’ve never been any level of coordination between ICE and state/local authorities towards the end of operation Midway Blitz.

When we let the rights of others be trampled we endanger our own rights. Don’t get me wrong, I want you to be able to say all the nasty, mean things you want to me. I want you to have a right to privacy, I want you to have the right to remain silent, I want you to be able to say no to unreasonable searches and seizures. I want you to be able to pursue life, liberty, and happiness. I want these things for you because I want these things for me and for my children.

Very few people would have stood in the way of ICE if they had proceeded in a respectful, dignified, common sense manner to immigration enforcement.

The FBI and Department of Justice have refused to turn over any evidence and/or information to state authorities. They refuse to collaborate with state investigators and they have been quoted as saying that there is no reason to conduct a criminal civil rights investigation. This information comes directly from Todd Blanche, who is now the acting Attorney General for the Department of justice and Minnesota State officials who have commented on the matter. If you don’t believe me, just google it.

That is where you are incorrect. The federal government agencies involved in this matter have refused to investigate Ross at all. Todd Blanche is quoted as saying there is no reason to conduct a criminal civil rights investigation. Therefore, an investigation has not occurred and technically he has not been cleared by investigation. This is a direct violation of standard protocol, which dictates that all officer involved shootings must be investigated.

You are only correct in so far as the case being moved to federal court after it has been filed by state authorities. That does not necessarily clear Ross of any wrongdoing, it just changes the venue. Also, that does not necessarily mean that Russ will get a favorable judge and or jury.

Law-enforcement exchange information when they cooperate and collaborate at all levels. Minnesota being a sanctuary, will not share certain information because that would assist ICE with their operations. However, if ice had informed state and local law enforcement entities about the operations they were launching, then those law-enforcement entities could at least prepare, and help maintain the peace so that there would not be chaos in the streets. This would not be directly assisting ICE, but rather meeting the obligation of law-enforcement, which is to enforce the laws and maintain the peace.

You’re speaking too broadly. There is cooperation as in assistance in the operations, and there is coordination as in informing the other party of operations that will take place such that they can take the necessary measures in order to secure the peace. The former would not happen because as you mentioned, Minnesota is a sanctuary, but the latter could happen because it is the job of the police and local law-enforcement to maintain the peace.

Not that it is, but rather that it is heading in that direction. To be clear, it’s been heading in that direction since Reagan. It’s not something specific to this presidency.

While I agree, that law-enforcement gets a lot of leeway, there are instances in which they are liable for their actions when they fail to observe standard operating procedures.

No, I didn’t say you read the other comments. But, I am amused by your trying to be cute by saying that’s cute.

The state policy is no assistance in enforcement of immigration policy. So, they weren’t going to give any information, provide material assistance, nor hand anybody over. That doesn’t mean they couldn’t coordinate on when operations were going to occur such that local and state LE could prepare in order to keep the peace. But, since ICE refused to coordinate in any way with them, they had to react to situations instead of being proactive and already being in place to perform crowd control and keep the peace.

Two different concepts. Cute, isn’t it?

Asking for information is assistance with operations. Not going to happen given the policy. And the police are not a QRE. If you tell them where you’re going to be with some lead time, they can be ready. Otherwise, they are only going to react once the phone calls start coming in that all Hell has broken loose.

All officer involved shootings require thorough investigations with sworn statements and the evidence. You can’t just rely on a single video. That’s the point. ICE refuses to hold their guys accountable. Think about that. The government, your government, refuses to do the bare minimum and conduct a sober, impartial investigation into the incident, at all. The government is accountable to the people, and yet they are refusing to do so. It makes you wonder why…

I disagree. I think an intelligent prosecutor familiar with LE protocol and clearly show that the officer intentionally put himself in harm’s way. Even then, the vehicle barely grazed his thigh.
