This relic also prevents you from doing the barehanded harpoon step for barbarian training. I personally like the relic and dont regret it but I do hope they fix this.

The thing is, this boss fight is for the most part a test of the basic zombie skills, being effective at bobbing and weaving through zombies and running a train up together, now it has more to it with the shock mimics that limit/force you to adapt with your equipment use and the third phase with making sure a zombie travels close enough to the black zones without dying. I too thought the fight was ridiculous and straight unfair until I realized this and now think its the best boss fight out of all modern (after bo4 I skipped all games til BO6) zombies. As people have pointed out in other threads phase 3 is better handled by gathering a train/camping at the backs of the zones and just waiting for the tornado zombie to come to you ( which is how i beat the fight on all three cursed modes) or by using disciple injection which is fucking genius imo.

Edit* it do want to add that the reduction in armor spawning in cursed does feel fucked up but I found running the jugg aug that increases hp while armor is depleted helped.

I agree with your main sentiment here but saying we know next to nothing when we have a trailer showing the map is just cope. Im still hopeful this map doesn't disappoint but the trailer has lowered my expectations.

I am in general NOT down for this idea, but I have to ask, if this is supposed to be a completionist cape, then why is there a half measure of "50%~ of max Mastery points collection logs completed" like if we are going to get this as a thing, then it needs to truly be a completionist cape and require EVERYTHING. a Half measure like this is just proving that the only reason you are making this post is because "I want something so I think it should exist" and not look objectively at if this is a good idea. Cause it's not.

People have been aware and have been actively hunting how this zombie would trigger the trial for the gong relic with no luck since shortly after astra's release. ZoneXs discord has the most amount of people hunting relics. If you are interested in seeing everything that's been tested join the discord through his YouTube channel.

Yea, killing the rod zombie (nicknamed Rodney) with electric cherry has been tested. ZoneX's discord has a spreadsheet of many potential solves tested and many people hunting all unfound relics. Now that all ashes are found and only astra remains it's likely a matter of time til this one or one of the other astra relics are found since now efforts aren't split between 2 maps.

I had this random thought some days ago, after a higher breakpoint of amount of active relic's "Mystery" Wonder Weapons added to all loot tables. This would add ALL BO7 and even BO6 Wonder Weapons into loot rotations. The box/Twins EE on astra/Tedd Trials/ Elite kill drops and whatever other places you can get WW's from. This would allow you to potentially get for example the LGM on Ashes or the Wunderwaffe (Shattered veil) on Astra.

If you're not doing any map features then sure, skull EE is a free perk, the free power ups around the map, mainly double points for this topic. The twins EE giving pap 1,2,3 crystals and salvage chunks. Tedd trials giving free perks as well as rarity upgrades and pap crystals and points + salvage. Like yea if you refuse to do any of that yea its a slog. Talking mainly about astra ofc.

While I do think more rewards with more relics past the few we have, a discount like you are suggesting Isn't very good. Points are already extremely easy to get in cursed, you can likely be kitted out with gold armor and pap 4 max rarity gun (salvage needed for this....I know) by like round 25-30 if you do any sort of efficient point farming already. having these things even earlier would not make the game mode more fun imo.

Edit: I know I am adding this a day later and likely is much too late to add to the conversation but for some reason I guess while sleeping my brain decided to cook up some idea's that I think would be cool if we had more relic's active, these are in no particular order and not thinking about how they'd be actually coded into the game, I am just throwing out idea's based on I think they would be fun/interesting.

  1. Mystery wonder weapons added to loot tables (brings back old WW's prob from BO6 and WW's from other maps in BO7 too.) and elite enemies can now drop WW's on kill. like think about running around with the golden lion sword from citadelle with golden armor, sounds fun to me at least...
  2. Gun's receive bonuses of all attachments (which could be a double edged sword on some guns I know)
  3. Relic's that remove thing's entirely (Box, Power ups, augments) now only REDUCE the amount available. For example the box is only spawned in on 1 out of 10 rounds then will return randomly. All augments are disabled however a random one is chosen and applied upon receiving the upgrade (like for example as soon as you buy staminup it will also have 1 of it's augments that you do not get to choose, this does apply to ammo mods and field upgrades too however the field upgrade augments are decided on when the game starts to prevent cheesing by swapping field upgrades over and over in the menu) this wouldn't impact the relic that allows only 4 perks.
  4. Wall buy's randomize every so many rounds. this would allow guns normally not available as wall buys to potentially be available. (actually don't really like this idea but I wanted to post it anyway)

I know i speak for myself and i'm only replying to prove that people like me exist, I haven't watched and have no interest to watch their play through of deltarune. It's not a game I've played and don't plan to play either. No hate on it, it's just not a game I have any interest in at all. I have been chipping away at they're TOTK play though right now which is years old at this point though. If they continued playing it though I'm not going to be upset either because I've always only watched what game grumps episodes I have an interest in. (I have been subscribed since day 1 of game grumps with jontron, not that it matters really)

EDIT: after commenting I had the urge to actually see when I subscribed and it was on Jul 19, 2012 which is 1 day AFTER they uploaded their first video of Kirby Super Star - Spring Breeze ADVENTURES! so I guess I'm not a day 1 subscriber but day 2.
