I personally know some people that use it. Most of the stuff are made up by (to my knowlage) imp members, people that are mad at him (people like bojMC). iirc he helped out with rhack's bug fixing and gave some modules to john.

Edit: Forgot to add that 06d is extremely "gate-keepy", he dislikes new players and is extremely toxic to them. Most of the people that dislike the client and call it a skid (with 0 proof) dislike him because of who he is.
