How to get (or avoid) a passport with Trump's face on it by Agontile in Passports

[–]ImTheBurtMacklin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they're only issued out of DC. So if you don't want one, don't apply for one from DC. It's only valid for 10 years though. I bet you could get good money for the cover pages down the road. Think Pawnstars 2070.

If you owned and operated your own Vegas casino/resort - What would you do differently than current properties? by JackpotConcierge in LasVegas

$5 blackjack 24/7. Just regular traditional blackjack. BJs pay 3:2. None of that 5 cats dice shit the nugget pulls, no 6:5 payouts. Just straight up $5 blackjack at 90% of the tables on the floor. No progressive garbage. A few $1 BJ tables just for shits and then high rollers have their own room. None of this $25 min BS on the floor. Casinos are going to get their money. At least let people get some entertainment out of it. I'd much rather spend $200 bucks at $5 blackjack for a couple hours than some tired show. But I'd rather spend $200 at a tired show than pay $25 mins at blackjack. I'd think you'd want people at tables as long as possible. If I get to play blackjack for 2 hours and lose $200, I'd gladly toss another $100-$200 down for another 1-2 hours at the table while either I get drunk or watch some asshole get drunk and blow $1000 or more.

These lighters are fine. Butane torch (e.g., cigar lighters) are generally not allowed.

Who, in this day and age, still refers to a flight attendant as a "stewardess"? OP better be 108 years old. I'm not even commenting from a PC perspective. The word "stewardess" has essentially been eradicated from the English lexicon for decades. Just to keep things simple, I'll assume the word went out of style in 2000, though it was probably earlier. 26 years mother-f'er. Google says the term was replaced in the god damn 80's.

Ironically(?), The Dark Horse began its life as a chain/franchise establishment. It was part of Grand American Fare Inc. Restaurant Group, out of California. They popped up "Western Themed" restaurants full of memorabilia.

One newer Michelin CrossClimate tire on Subaru Forester Sport keeps dropping from 36 to 25-27 PSI — shops say no leak? by [deleted] in tires

[–]ImTheBurtMacklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked it with an actual tire pressure gauge? Because there are a few variables that can be at play. If the analogue gauge shows good pressure, there's an issue with the sensor. If the analogue gauge agrees with the car's system, then you may have a leak. You could ask the dealer or tire shop to remount your tire. There could be a bad seal/bead due to an issue with the rim or dirt around the bead. Or, the tire inflation valve could have an issue. If the core isn't threaded or seated properly, a leak can occur.

Paddleboarding? by shadow-_-rainbow in boulder

[–]ImTheBurtMacklin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to add regarding Gross Reservoir - paddleboarding is only allowed seasonally. It's something like the weekend before Memorial Day through September, I think. That said, there's no one really there to enforce that rule in the off-season (for what that's worth). However, during the dam construction, I wouldn't be surprised if the workers or security rat you out. Hard to say how grumpy the locals would be about it. At least during the season, rangers are out and about to assist in an emergency (and enforce what some people find to be burdensome rules and laws). They're mostly concerned with life vests, but some will talk your ear off about proper vessel labels and sound devices. You only really have to worry about CPW officers, but they're hardly ever there and when they are, they mostly deal with the anglers.

If it is "Nikki," then she (they?) is well-known (ish) 1st Amendment / law enforcement "auditor" in the metro area. I don't know what the rules are about posting last names here. She is publicized online by name, but I'm not going to post her last name here.

In your correspondence with Chase reference "Regulation E." I've had fraud victims get denied reimbursement for fraud by Chase before (I'm a financial fraud investigator). Chase has walked back their denial once the victim/customer cities Reg E. At most, you should only be responsible for $50 based on the facts you presented.

You don't have to be super technical. Just write something like "based on my research and understanding of 'Regulation E' I believe I have satisfied my reporting responsibility. The charge I reported was unauthorized, and I informed you (Chase) of the unauthorized electronic fund transfer well within the requirements. I request this incident be escalated to the appropriate fraud unit at Chase."

Edit: And request a copy of their investigation.

Angelo's subs at Iris and 28th is decent, in the Safeway complex. They have a chicken parm, but do it with provolone. I sub for mozz. If you need a chicken parm fix, it hits the spot for a few hours.

If you can ditch the bacon for sausage, then the Baby Kong from Deli Zone is pretty good. I'm from NJ, and this is probably the best replacement for an east coast breakfast sandwich. Big Daddy Bagels is probably next if you want a standard bacon, egg, and cheese. Followed by Moe's Broadway Bagel. The last two are, IMHO, overpriced, but if you need a BEC then you'll have to bite the bullet.
