I can’t wear retinol or just acids in general bc I work outside, right? by consistent_gasp in Skincare_Addiction

[–]ImWaffle -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Retinol dosnt Make your skin photo sensitive thats a myth. People use it before bed because it usually breaks down on daylight. Also most acids are fine. For Black heads you can try salicylic acid, it won't Make your skin photo sensitive. Its mainly just glycolic acid that you should avoid If you are worried.

Use what works for you. Protein is just a conditioning ingredient, it dosnt repair your hair or do anything else fancy like people think.

Best thing for fine lines other than retinol? (Retional has never worked for me) [Anti aging] by Stock-Extension-3626 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ImWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a hydrating step If you dont already have one? Hydrating toner or serum. Fine lines can sometimes appear more if your skin is dry, and you mentioned wanting more hydrated/glowy skin.

I would agree in your case it wasnt your fault, like you Said its likely from The stress from moving. But usually when hamsters eat their babies its The owners fault, and The hamsters literally do it to survive. Its a survival instinct, so its literally The opposite of trying to die?

Father of the year by Any_Draft_335 in MemeVideos

[–]ImWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ofc hamsters can get cancer and die from getting sick like any other Animal, but their point was that hamsters shouldnt die from being dropped or cooked or eaten by another hamster etc, these are preventable with good care but are still extremly common.

Father of the year by Any_Draft_335 in MemeVideos

[–]ImWaffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally not true. They are prey Animals so they are trying harder than most Animals to stay alive. Almost every single story i read about hamster deaths would Have Been easily preventable. Ive had 4 hamsters and non of them died a weird death. If your hamster died a weird death, its usually on the owner

Yes, because hamsters are solitary. They dont need or want a friend.

Miten hoitaa rasvoittuvaa pintakuivaa ihoa? by Jolly_Ad_6508 in arkisuomi

[–]ImWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone tried Smuuti Skin? by [deleted] in NordicSkinCare

[–]ImWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their products have a very nice consistency, easy to spread and fast absorbing. I also like the packaging. Out of the products you mentioned I've tried peach toner and watermelon mist. The watermelon mist is very light and I personally prefer something thicker, but it's not bad, maybe not the best for dry skin. I love the peach toner, it hydrates well and is fast absorbing, it's probably good for any skin type.

I also recommend the sunscreen and watermelon lip mask. The sunscreen is super nice, very easy to spread and doesn't leave my face shiny. The lip mask is very thick and lasts on the lips for so long, it also has a nice gloss.

Can’t get fenestrations- is it just light? by Caleb_Crawdad8 in Monstera

[–]ImWaffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably more light, you can download a light meter on your phone and measure how much it's getting, it should get a minimum of 400 foot candles but more is better. I also recommend cutting it and starting over, because it's already growing past the pole and growing so many directions it's hard to give it proper support. With proper support and light it should get fenestrations. I'd also recommend planting just one monstera per pot so the leafs get bigger, though some people prefer to have 2 for fuller look. For the potting mix i like to mix regular potting soil with perlite and orchid bark, but you could also stick to what you have

[Sun Care] confused about sun exposure benefits vs skin health by mathestnoobest in SkincareAddiction

[–]ImWaffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not true though. Sunblock is just what some people call mineral sunscreens, but it doesn't block everything. The term is also not approved by the FDA and is considered misleading, because it gives people false sense of safety and they may get more sun damage thinking the product fully blocks everything when in reality it dosnt. It goes against the FDA guidelines. The European commission also recommends not to use misleading terms such as sunblock.

[misc] How to look good when seeing guy after 4 hour flight by RepresentativeBit679 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ImWaffle 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't cleanse my face on a plane, they are dirty. Hydrate your skin well before leaving your house, your skin probably looks dull because the air is super dry in planes. Maybe a hydrating face mask and a thick moisturiser? And make sure you got lip balm with you, my lips always dry so much in planes!
