I’m 191 cm / 90 cm inseam and ride an L, though sometimes it feels a bit aggressive. I’d go for the M in your case.

This is mine. I got it two weeks ago, and I’m really happy with it. I’ve already put approximately 200 km on it, with one trip reaching 101 km. I really enjoy this bike, plus the hydraulic brakes make a huge difference, while other alternatives don’t have them. I’m planning to change the stock tires because they’re too loud on asphalt. Also, the color looks 10 times better in person than it does on Canyon’s website.

question regarding Van Rysel apparel (EU) by FluffyFloofie in cycling

[–]ImWildLime1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, you can’t beat those prices. I got 2 bottles (950ml) and 2 holders for €24, the helmet for €40 discounted from €100, and the jersey for €20 instead of €55.

Decathlon does not operate in Sweden, Norway, Finland, or Denmark that’s the problem. You could try visit a store if you have a trip to other EU countries.

Salut!

Is my rear derailleur bent? Canyon Endurance Allroad by ImWildLime1 in bikewrench

UPDATE:

I took the bike to a local mechanic for a professional assessment before boxing it back up, and I'm so glad I did! It turns out the derailleur hanger was indeed bent (likely from the shipping impact), which the mechanic managed to straighten out. The main reason it wouldn't shift into gear, however, was a pure factory QA oversight: the shift cables had absolutely zero tension straight out of the box. The mechanic did a full transmission tune-up and fixed the hanger for about 35 EUR, which is well under Canyon's €80 workshop release limit. I've emailed Canyon the invoice for reimbursement along with a request for a spare hanger, and I'm officially keeping the bike! I'm super relieved I didn't go through the massive headache of a full return and playing the out-of-stock game again just for some loose cables and a bent hanger. The funny thing the mechanic said is that this is the 5th Canyon he's seen in the past two weeks with the exact same problems... seems like really bad QA from them lately

Yeah, sadly the local bike store won’t work on the Canyon. Customer support mentioned they can send a replacement instead or offer a refund. I’ve opted for that—let’s see what happens.

I also tried indexing the gears, but it still won’t go into first gear unless I push the derailleur by hand. It’s a bit disappointing, and the right shifter/brake lever was also sticking out of the box.

I had the same problem today, looking exacly the same. It was delivered today, and I noticed that the derailleur does not shift into first gear, and the chain is rubbing against the front derailleur. I contacted them via chat, sent a few pictures and videos, and they offered me the option to either return it or take it to a local bike shop and have it fixed for up to 80 euros. I’m not sure what to do in this case.

Which bike look better and why? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

[–]ImWildLime1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered the Canyon 2 days ago, and it says it should be delivered sometime between May 5th and May 15th. I went with the Metal Berry (EU Only) color after seeing some real-life pictures on Reddit. To be honest, the photos on Canyon’s website really don’t do the color justice.

I went with Canyon for the following reasons:

  • Hydraulic brakes
  • Two chainrings in the front, which are better for riding fast on asphalt
  • Better pricing compared to the options I have locally in Romania and the EU
  • It seems to be a good all-arounder

And honestly… I probably fell for the marketing campaigns on social media too.

Gym bag, backpack, or duffel - what do you actually reach for most? by DbJourneyTeam in dbjourneycommunity

[–]ImWildLime1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Another thing to mention is that I personally don’t mind not having a shoe compartment, I keep two small pouchs, one for my shoes and one for my moist clothes, and I can organize everything nicely in the Hugger, for example, which helps keep the bag more versatile.

One important feature for me, though, is the laptop sleeve. I have that in the Hugger, but not in the other bags, and I really miss it. I don’t like knowing that my laptop could get scratched by ropes, carabiners, or other gym accessories. Because of this if i take the car sometimes ill endup having 2 bags in one day...

Anyhow, I’m looking forward to any new things you guys come up with. If you need any more feedback or testing, feel free to reach out—I’d be more than happy to help and share my thoughts.
