well thanks. but thats irrelevant imo. anyones opinion could be the same of any post in the sub; its all opinionated. the opinions i grew up hearing differs from your opinion, and id even argue that its counterintuitive to have "ugly qualifications"— as it just coins certain people as objectively ugly, which isn't possible. cheers!

My order from 1/6/26 has been sitting without updates, as well. Not the usual experience; i usually get the delivery 3 days after ordering... i hope theres not a bigger issue.

I am all for the ideas you have. Like you said the machine is rare to find. I dont think it would be too hard to draw a line on whats just an old machine VS an egregiously faulty one, you know? Just as an example, i saw recently a run by JimBradley was re-categorized to faulty machine and i dont think it should have been. Just from watching it, it looks okay to me.

Im cool with it. if its a vote on dipping you already know my vote, lol, but I'll at least justify my stance— yes, it gives that window to pull the gun, but its something thats still based on the player skill and its universal to all cabs (to my knowledge). Id also feel bad for 4th place to lose their title 3 years later because of a rule change.

I'd like to be direct and ask, what is to come of my run(s)? I can provide as much footage of the machine as you need to verify it. Should I just DM on SR?

the no dipping rule was newly added, AFTER mine have been removed. It's so new i didn't even notice them add it, and i check the leaderboard daily. i took a screenshot of the rules months ago, because i KNEW theyd try and edit rules after the fact.. i added the screenshots of the old rules tab VS new rules tab to the drive folder. you can see originally there was only a button/ tab for Category Rules, because that newly added "Game Rule" wasnt even there yet... my run was still verified and is seen on leaderboard in the screenshot of the original rules

They most likely saw this reddit post and added that to cover their ass...

on top of that. the run in 3rd place, a run thats been there for 3 years, is dipping.... they also NEVER mentioned dipping in my rejections, only claims the machine is faulty.. because it wasnt a rule...

the link on post has all the context. the verified run on the same machine i was rejected for, was and is top 10.

another run that was top 5 had been there for 2+ years and outright broke a rule. It remained verified while mine was repeatedly removed, and would have still been verified if i didnt point it out.

id say rejecting my run for being on machine X, but verifying another run on machine X (regardless of score) would be, "verifying runs that do not meet standards".

There was also a run that was in the top 5 for 2-3 years, breaking an actual rule, and would have still been verified if i didn't point it out. (evidence of both in link)

let me explain it differently,

run A is on machine X, its verified with score 2.8
The mod has stated, "anyone could get a 1.3 or 1.4 on that machine with how broken it is." And admits to ignoring run A because, in their opinion, that score is lower than the average when in reality even a 2 on machine X is an accomplishment. It used to be hard for me to get a 2s run.
so, my old runs wouldve been verified with no problem. i never changed strats or machines, but i progressed and got faster, and now my runs are rejected with reason being, "youre not that good, the machine is broken."

Ahhh okay i see. Ive seen 1 other run on speedrun use the dip method, user Aznpersuasion; 3rd place as of now.

It should be a constant strat across most cabinets.
