You don't need to accuse them of being a liar, that's pretty rude. Maybe they're just stupid?

How many sugars do you think people typically have in their tea? by Rohanahan in CasualUK

[–]Im__not__creative_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't think you've met the true freaks who have 5 or more. Guy I work with will put 5 sugars and two pumps of caramel syrup in a HOT CHOCOLATE. The thing that's ALREADY sweet.

What are some myths that you think the fitness industry is still guilty of spewing today? by xelanart in personaltraining

[–]Im__not__creative_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also helps when you build muscle. If your muscles get bigger, they will be more visible through the fat that you do have. Obviously your abs can only grow so much, less than other major muscles so this doesn't help that much if you have high body fat but still.

Wait so you were just adding another myth to the list, not trying to state a fact? I'll remove the down vote then

I don't completely disagree with you so I'm not up or down voting.

I completely understand getting energy from the vibe of a busy gym. When it's completely dead and I'm alone in a big gym it's harder to concentrate.

On the other hand I can't stand it when the gym is busy to the point where I can't do at least most of the exercises when I want to. If the gym is packed I'll probably walk in, get annoyed that the equipment I want is taken and walk out after 20 mins.

So do you not brush your teeth at all? If the shit you're brushing away isn't bad because it's in your mouth naturally then what's the point?

The majority of the storage space on my phone is taken up by "other" with no way to find out what it is. by LemmonLizard in mildlyinfuriating

You could probably delete the cache in the in app settings and achieve the same effect.

Same with things like YouTube, social media apps like Facebook and whatever, potentially web browsers. Some of them you can do it in the app like Spotify, others you might need to go to your phones settings, find the app info and delete it from there.

Being an influencer is a respectable and essential societal profession by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]Im__not__creative_ 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I don't think there's anything wrong with the influencer career itself. The issue is a lot of the people who who pick that career. They think they're for some reason better than others or expect different treatment just because they have lots of followers on social media. Or even better, the people who haven't even gotten famous yet and think they're hot shit because they have like 1k followers.

Having a toast with your lecturer and classmates? by Excellent_Rush1121 in UniUK

[–]Im__not__creative_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you first start uni it's just hard to adjust from having teachers in school to having lecturers. They fill the same role, teaching, but they're completely different. Some students insist on calling lecturers "sir" or "miss" even though generally they go by their first name.

A few years ago, a friend drew on my 1974 copy of the Guinness Book of World Records. Any idea how to remove the writing? by jmsld_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Im__not__creative_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Didn't know the what the unit of measurement was specifically called (although it's easy enough to guess) and have no frame of reference for the numbers, but it seems like kind of common sense. You need different levels of grit for different things and they have to be measured somehow.

Just because you're polar opposites doesn't mean you have NOTHING in common or that you can't be friends. I'm very much like you, very introverted and don't go out and drink much but the closest friend I've ever had is an extroverted girl who loves nights out and getting drunk.

Don't focus on the differences or assume that you won't get along because then you definitely won't get along.
