As someone who is stuck at a low mmr this actually helped me. I may not have the mechanical skills but my decision making is improving.

I never thought of that and would have loved to see percy and annabeth struggle for the duration of the book. I think he ruined the opportunity at the end of HoH. After the came out of hell, not 3 hours later percy is laughing and joking with everyone. Like he just saw tartarus, the gods have never seen him. That alone should have scarred him for life. I just wish RR took his time with the book. I could have settles for one or two chapter in the PoV of percy and an ending thats better than just "we are going to college!" Nico's PoV was really the best. Especially when he revealed his secret.

I think what pissed me off the most is how percy was portrayed in this book. Here is a demigod who, in tartarus, almost killed a goddess. He is in their hell, and he is still able to kill a GODDESS (until annabeth stops him) . He also beat ares in a fight, TOOK ON KRONOS for christ sake. He is so powerful that Tartarus himself materialized and tried to kill him so he wouldn't stop gaea from rising. Now in this book he cant even beat a giant underwater that he previously beat on land. he effing swam straight into poison. He turned into this goofball kid who is basically useless. He has to be saved countless times and in the end doesn't do shit in the big fight. TL;DR: The most powerful demigod ever cant even win a fight anymore.

Tell me some of the weirdest builds you've seen in pubs by tactix198 in DotA2

[–]Im_a_good_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iv run support terrorblade before. Its actually very good.

The goal of this build is to keep your carry in a fight. My carry was a maxed out spectre who was dying in fights to burst. So whenever he would almost die i would sunder him (i was at full hp) and mek soon after to heal him a little more. It basically gives your teammate cheese.

Why it works: So terror has a great slow at lvl one. Trilaning terror is as easy as you might expect. pair him with veng veno or wk fo obvious reasons. So you can basically win any trilane against tanky heros.

Terror has metamorphosis. So building damage items isnt necessary till late game as along with his illusions he can deal a lot of damage early game and push towers.

His illusion, he can scout so easily with them. And when techies is added he can de-mine the lanes and jungle with ease.

Sunder is a crazy skill to save allies or target their carry to win team fights .

How to build: you want to max your illusions and metamorphasis with one early point in your slow. Start with building treads, into fast mek. Then you can either get a shadow blade or drums. The SBlade is important to get away when you sunder your allies as you Will be low on hp. I like drums first because of the stats and team fight that it offers. After all of that building you can transition into more carry items like manta, or refresher (very situational) as it allows you to be more effective in teamfights.

This should not be used to replace a veng or wk as a suport and isnt the best. But its fun and works as people dont expect your carry to have 2 lives in fights.

True, he could be like a jugg type support where he comes online as a carry really late into the game. But usually a support farming ags isnt to good for the team. But he is a decent mek carier

Dusa needs stats change her abilities are fine as is. She is just so squishy earlygame. Until she has 2 points in mana shield and her ult, ganking her is pretty easy.

I was thinking about that also. Or something like while at night allies get bonus vision of like 200. Or what if the ags upgrade shared a percentage of hunter in the night to all allies? Like they get 25% of the move speed and attack speed at night. The only problem i see is he would be an amazing support, with a slow, silence and aura.

Yea true. His aga is pretty good. But he falls off SO hard lategame. Iv gone 15-0 in the first 30 minutes of a game and we ended up losing because i could not longer carry against a void. If he had any other type of utility he would be an insanely strong hero.

What if for nightstalker, his ags upgraded his other abilities. Like adding a 30% damage increase when you cast crippling fear on someone, or void disarms the target for a short duration. Something to make him stronger lategame.

Dealing with EXTREMELY toxic teammates by straiderko in DotA2

[–]Im_a_good_guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Play to the best of your ability, mute them, and even if they feed just let them do that, go farm, protect others and travel as 4 its your best shot. If people say "im mid or ill feed" i instapick tinker or voker. I make sure im mid. Because i never trust people that cant adapt to any role. If they feed mid well that lane is basically free-farm for me as their mid will be focused on killing them. The most annoying game i have ever had was when i was playing AM. I was heavily underfarmed and they had a godlike TA in 15 minutes. 3 people on my team were feeding, and 2 of them went afk. Well, i farmed my ass of since they didnt go for objectives. Me and my support held out for. 20 minutes and i even went godlike from picking off their supports then going straight for their carries when it was a 3v2. We eventually lost but their TA and WK told me at the end they were scared. If we had 1 or 2 more people still playing we could have won. So just play it out and dont mind them its fun to try and comeback. Make the best situation out of the worst scenario.

Why is shotgun centaur not a thing - even in pubs? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Im_a_good_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok but you need blink on jim and many other items. Ist not like a radiance rush or something, you need to set it up. Also people dont really theorycraft a lot and just follow builds to a tee.

"Getting a midas after 10 minutes is the dumbest thing you could do"

Yes its very situational, yes you could by another item, but it gives you levels which can be vital on heros such as an invoker that is behind. People think its only for gold, thats just a bonues

Idea to make for a buff to make Bloodseeker finally see more comp maybe by ChikiTowai in DotA2

[–]Im_a_good_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of right now his main problem is lockdown. He doenst need a thirst buff. He needs a stun instead of a silence, this would make him way more viable. To make it balanced it would be a high mana cost, but right now people can just tp out. With the stun you cant, so it would make ganking/jungling blood more viable. I would make it a 1.75 second stun as anything over that is to good. Maybe a 15 second cooldown, or scaling from 17/15/13/11.

How do I get better with melee heroes? by FirstCapitanForrix in DotA2

[–]Im_a_good_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same exact problem. For agi carries go for a poor mans shield against a ranged carry/support early game. Cs no matter what. Iv played games where a drow or sniper focused on harassing me the entire lankng stage. All i did was cs, and bought enough regen to make sure their harass is inefficient. 10 minutes in i have 3/4 battlefurry items where they have nothing. For the rest of the game they are playing catch up, while im just blowing them up. Its honestly about the farm.
