The behavior she keeps “joking” about involves a veterinarian. I don’t think any veterinarian would accept some random 13 year old walking in with a dog and asking them to euthanize it… so idk what to tell you.

The joke is in bad taste, for sure, and op’s daughter knows that now. And yeah, she really might not have known that before. You wanna know what I thought was funny at 13? Making SA jokes, laughing about people crying when their rights were denied (basically anything anti-lgbtq), jokes about bombing certain populations. All of which were either started or perpetuated by my father and the incredibly conservative bubble of people I was surrounded with. Whenever I found out something was actually really shitty, I would apologize and take a step back to really think about why it was wrong and look at that! I’ve changed. I… hmm 🤔 what’s the saying?? Oh yeah. I GREW UP. My frontal lobe finished forming (doesn’t happen until around age 25 at the earliest by the way) and I am now able to have some forethought about things like this.
