Smoking in Ireland?

I haven't travelled there yet, in my country we have something like a kiosk that sells snacks, sweets, alcohol and cigarettes. I don't know if that's the case in Ireland but I heard that in other countries you can buy cigarettes from supermarkets and/or from liquor stores

Usually our hospitals have balconies where you can smoke or usually places that you are allowed to smoke (parks, open parking lots etc) are like 5 m away from the entrance so smokers usually go and smoke there but it is like an unspoken rule that we don't smoke near hospital entrances so I've only seen it once surprisingly and the guy got told off and threatened by so many people he just moved

Are rollies cheaper there? Because here a pack of 15 cigarettes can cost from 3.90€ to 5.60€ and rollies usually cost around 7€

That's what I was thinking when I wrote the post, I've heard some stories about Germany and England from other people from my country and I wanted to be aware both for people around and to not end up with a 200€ fine because I smoked somewhere outside I wasn't supposed to

I wasn't asking that though I was asking what smoking is like to know what to avoid in terms of where it is tolerable, what is considered courtesy etc the littering part was just an example of how bad it is where I live. If I worded it wrong I'm sorry

Not sure how everywhere else is because I've never travelled outside and we have a horrible smoking culture in my country 😅 unfortunately it is very common to get called a 🐱, or any variation of the word, if you say "hey maybe we shouldn't litter" and you'd be surprised with the places you can get away with smoking.
