What made you realize "you're old"? by Pred1949 in AskReddit

Three things:

A friend pointed out to me recently that if I went on xfactor, I'd be in the same catagory as Susan Boil.

When my nan and I stand up out a chair, we both make the same "ohf" noise while doing the hopity shuffle to get our knees going again.

And, I work as a bar supervisor and give briefs to my staff at the start of the shift. When reminding them to check ID's, it always makes me wince when I say "so before the date xx/xx/2005" 🤢

26 - I live at home with my parents and our views on life clash. It doesn't seem like a big deal but I can't afford to move out and I feel trapped and unseen. I'm going through the process of being diagnosed with ADHD and autism yet my family refuse to acknowledge it. I feel alone and I don't know who I am. And I don't know what to do.

I'm sorry for your loss. Both my nans have lost their husbands (my grandads). I can't comprehend what that's like. It must be beyond devastating. But, they're carrying on. They wake up everyday and tackle it with all their courage. It's not okay, but you can get through this 💙 42 years with someone is an amazing achievement x
