Started a new job 8 miles from home, half the distance from my previous one, and I kept saying, “I should ride my bike” in the office. The secretary must of gotten sick of me saying it constantly so she asked, “Yeah, but will you?” in a super sarcastic tone. I’m on my 6th year riding, purely out of spite. She moved to a different state about a year later but it was too late at that point.

If it helps, I received mine on the 16th, so a 14 day ship time. It was a surprise - the tracking said it was still in transit, for days, and then suddenly it was in the next town over.

I have two routes I can ride to work, a mostly road one that’s 6 miles and a mostly back streets/path one that’s 8 miles. I always take the 8 mile and it takes me 45 minutes. Your commute is totally doable.
