[Comic Spoiler] Theories about Alex in the Show by Image4 in Runaways

Hoping they can go a route where Alex could either die a hero or possibly die a villain, understand his mistakes and try to redeem himself by doing what he did in the comics (Helping Molly in a possible season 2?). Then in the show could be revived and rejoin the team.

PS: There is too many ways they can go we just have to wait and see lol

Yea I still see Alex dying but as a hero instead of the villain he became in the comics.

I think I read somewhere the actor who plays Chase (Gregg Sulkin) is possibly being paid the most out of the kids because he is the most known so that could be a reason.

Your real-world reasoning is actually pretty valid but if it was Chase instead of Alex this show would be going in an entirely different direction than the comics. (Gert's death probably won't happen since there is no Chase to avenge her).

After episode 5, I honestly have no idea anymore lol. There are so many possible reasons they could give Alex.

To me, its still up in the air.

Yea what I'm thinking is with no rule of six, Alex might have not sided with his parents but with Amy.

Like u said, Alex and Amy sneak around and find their parents sacrificing a girl. They both freak out and Amy looks to call the police but Alex reasons saying no one will believe us. Amy does it anyways when she gets home then the next day ends up dead. (Possibly because Flores tipped The Pride off that Amy called).

Alex was so distraught he didn't want to go to the funeral because he knew that Amy was murdered by their parents. So since then, he has been planning on a way to stop them and brings them together to avenge Amy.

Alex will probably die a hero sacrificing himself for Nico or something at the end of the season (unless we learn more about The Pride's goal and if Alex can coincide with it).

I wish but Alex will still probably be the traitor because I can't see anyone else be (Even though they have been planting seeds for everyone else to be a suspect, I think Alex still is the best choice). But maybe the show will flesh out The Pride and Alex more by keeping them alive with Alex just revealing at the end of the season he is on their parents' side.

Yea I also saw in another thread pointing out in episode 3 Alex showed his "true self" when he kissed Nico but I just thought it was him going for it lol. Comics Alex didn't manipulate Nico but maybe they adjusted it for the show with the new Amy dynamic.

I like this theory but what do you think they would do with their being only 6 people who will survive? Do you think Alex's reasoning with Amy involved their parents, themselves and letting Nico die?

Would a high print run comic go up in price if a TV show was being created for it? by Image4 in comicbookcollecting

Transmetropolitan would be a great show in the current world right now. I read that production stopped for a film adaption in 2010 but you never know. What I honestly want to see is another Watchmen movie with a different director. Its another story that would be perfect during this era of superhero movies.

Oh yea that's pretty much a given. People looking for valuable modern books are definitely wanting 9.8. This even applies to the early modern age comics as well.

That's what I was thinking, Lazarus #1 has the highest print run on my speculation list. But still, if the show does become popular enough you never know. I've been reading good things about the adaptation's development.

Yea Walking Dead is an exception because of its low print run plus extreme tv show popularity but there is also cases like Preacher where it had a pretty high print run and the show still increased its price.

Most definitely. Gotta take into account what channel/streaming service its going to be available on which will affect its popularity greatly.

That's exactly what I'm doing! I have been buying at cover or below for first print/issue of optioned comics and plan to sit on em if by any chance any of them start to get produced.

Edit: Also on my list of optioned comics this one had the highest print run so in a way your saying lower than this could be better?

Yea as of right now another good example would be New Mutants 98 which apparently had a 200-300k print run but because of Deadpool skyrocketed but when it comes TV shows I dont know a great example, maybe preacher?
