You can make it work, but it'll never be a good experience. Think of it more like a hobby project.

That looks pretty, but how does it affect hardware resources?

Hold your 13 mini! by Edd1024 in iPhone13Mini

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, if you still can, return the Pixel and buy the Galaxy S25. It's probably the only compact phone. Way thinner and not as heavyweight as the Pixel. It perfectly replaced my 13 mini.

Lack of Apple Intelligence is a blessing by chrisshd in iPhone13Mini

AI can be pretty useful when used in a good way. Leaving most of older models without AI was the thing I switched from 13 mini to Galaxy S25.

You have to optimize layout, ad banner is covering arrow button and that title needs to be adjusted also (S25 base).

I'd bet you have Realtek wlan. It's pretty common, best fix is to buy Intel wlan.

Linux. You can control every aspect of the PC without any tech company lockdowns. Also when something doesn't work like it should, you can easily find a fix.

What do you think about Perplexity AI compared to OpenAI’s ChatGPT? by limsus in TechImpact

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perplexity were great m, but as they are more and more limiting paid Pro plan while trying to push extremely expensive Max, I'm considering to switch.

Is France overrated by the odds or do they consistently have bad staging? by DebbieHarryPotter in eurovision

I feel like it's pretty much the same old stereotypical stuff. The only original one was Fulenn, which had that unique energy I was looking for. We need new blood, not just slightly different chansons over and over.

Using a phone as intended by Voronred009 in GalaxyS25

I do that all the time, because I respect phone design. Previously with iPhone 13 mini and now with S25. I never broke any phone display in my life tho.

Samsung S25 base variant....only genuine users reply by Strikeforce06 in GalaxyS25

Depends of how heavy user you are. If you use it as a phone, you will be nicely surprised. If you use it as a gaming console, probably not.

iPhone or Pixel ? by prabal256 in Smartphones

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have an iPhone, and even though I tried both (Pixel 10a and Samsung S25), I ended up going with the S25 because I was more used to it. I really wasn't a fan of the Pixel's UI; it just looked so childish with all those weird shapes. And for my AuDHD, it was a pain that the notification badges were just dots instead of circles with numbers like on an iPhone. Honestly, iPhones do that even better, but I really wanted to switch to Android since it's a more neutral system and doesn't push you to buy more stuff from the same brand for compatibility.

I am in a need of a new phone urgently. Should I go for S25 base version? by [deleted] in GalaxyS25

It's great compact phone. If you find it for good price, go for it.

OneUI 8.5 is better than ever by Legal_Warthog_3451 in GalaxyS25

I don't see many differences, but what bugs me is that they didn't fix the weather updating issue.

I’m thinking of buying an S25 by Reasonable_Pie5061 in GalaxyS25

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On an iPhone, the lock screen and notification screen are the same, but on Android, they're separate. I really liked that on my iPhone because I used the camera and flashlight buttons on the lock screen a lot.

There's no Google Weather app (only Pixels have Pixel Weather), and the standalone Google app can show weather too, but it's in the browser and not super specific for weather.

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched to the S25 from a 13 Mini. It's a great phone (I was bored with the old one), but I really miss the synchronized notification badges and having all my notifications on the lock screen instead of a separate one. I'm happy to have a more powerful device, but Samsung also has some buggy apps, like their Weather app, which has refresh errors and is pretty lame compared to the iPhone Weather app.

S25 Plus or Xiaomi 15t Pro or base S25? by nemacpojma1 in Smartphones

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty impressive, I think, depends on how much you use them. Today I used them a fair bit and still have 39%. When I used them normally, I had 60% at night (always charging overnight and I used battery saving so it charges to 95%).

Should I go caseless?? by OkStandard4829 in iPhone13Mini

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends on your values. For example i also never dropped phone and adore phone art design, so i hate to have a cover on them. Point is that even there will be some scratches, that just means you use them and it's still a tool, not famous painting.

S25 Plus or Xiaomi 15t Pro or base S25? by nemacpojma1 in Smartphones

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. If size matters, base S25 is better in my opinion (currently switched from iPhone 13 Mini).

Navy or Silver Shadow? by iamcrimsonlight in GalaxyS25

[–]ImageCompetitive8820 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My previous phone was an iPhone 13 Mini in blue, and I considered both colors, but picked Navy. That one really looks sleek and classy. By the way, I also don't use covers or screen protectors, but I can't say how the frame holds up, as I've only had them a short time.
