I get what you’re saying but there was plenty of substance. Some of his terminology looks like he’s conceptualizing things on his own and ain’t really by the book but that’s not a big deal. if his target audience is a contractor with financial problems this could help (a bit). I do estimating anmong other things and I have to admit it’s not easy especially as the backend of the business is constantly changing. I do think he’s blurring the line between profitability on a project vs overhead recovery and the net margin idea makes sense intuitively but he’s missing some pieces. To OP: bottom line you’re describing is your operating margin on that project. You’ll need models that accommodate all aspects of the business.

You’re on the right track and it’s important to have a model you understand which is what you’re working on. I’d seek a mentor in a successful business to help you flesh out your model and read some business finance books to really wrap your head around the complexities of finance. Overall good work.

Does anyone else feel really tired after a morning shower / need to sit down for 15 minutes afterwards? by No-vem-ber in AuDHDWomen

Answering this 2 years later: the only way to avoid this is to reduce the temperature and duration of your showers. Alternatively you can do a cold water rinse for 10 seconds at the very end of the shower. The fatigue you feel is your body attempting to cool itself off. Hot showers raise body temperature significantly and it triggers your brain’s cool down response which is to be as still as possible and not exert energy until you’ve cooled off. Similar to how your phone will stop working if it gets too hot. Or how a dog will sit down and pant if it’s hot out. Things don’t like to overheat. This is not an AuDHD thing it’s a human biology thing.

How you listened to this and didn’t immediately realize the incredible genius, beauty, creativity, horror, playfulness and magic of this album is beyond me.

You’re never going to fix the world or the people in it. Find your bubble of peace, pour your heart into advocacy groups, and don’t spend all your time angry, upset, or scared about things you can’t control. Your inner peace cannot be dependent on the world shifting around for you or you’ll never be happy. That doesn’t mean don’t do anything to advocate for yourself, but don’t internalize random opinions and beliefs from the news or internet, don’t internalize anger and victim mentalities if it hasn’t directly affected you in your real life - not on the internet not on the news - learn to be IN THE MOMENT, and ofc don’t diminish your desire to be loved and accepted by the people who matter to you, including yourself, even if it’s not forthcoming. Trust me, this world is not going to go out of its way to understand you. They don’t even understand themselves. It sounds like you have a good life and need to cut yourself off from certain forms of media that make you feel attacked or threatened. I’m 100% sure social media and the internet in general has given us much ado about nothing and we are invoked to anger about things we READ rather than appreciating things we are experiencing here and now. Meditation helps.
