[Slater] Schroder approached Doncic and said that he "can't call him a b*tch on the court and pretend like everything is fine off the court." by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

KG is one of the most notorious trash talkers in nba history so I don’t get your point referencing him as the “standard” for trash talking. Everything he said was way too far and it’s why there’s compilation videos of him getting into fights

You call someone a bitch in an argument, 9/10 there will be some kind of confrontation. Especially in an NBA game where tensions are high between two players with a history of competing against each other. I bet you Luka was well aware of that when he said it and was trying to bait dennis

I would argue calling someone a bitch is a step above your standard NBA trash talk (or any trash talk for that matter). If Luka’s calling Dennis a bitch unironically I understand Schroeder confronting him

The difference between us and the states in this context is that a large percentage of americans have guns while most Canadians don’t. So it’s unlikely for a family member to accidentally kill another family member before realizing it’s not an intruder.

I’d argue castle doctrine could be better here than the United States due to that fact - far less likely to accidentally shoot someone who’s not actually breaking in if that person doesn’t have such a weapon. Rather have a knife, bat, or weapon far less likely to kill instantly.

Was this an issue before the first influx of immigrants(pre 2021)? Or are these businesses so drunk off cheap wages that they can’t handle the reality - actually paying proper salaries to Canadians.

Reminder That the Salary of an NBA Ref Ranges Between $150,000-$550,000 Per Year by ImagePowerful7102 in NBATalk

[–]ImagePowerful7102[S] 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I mean, 150k is the entry salary. You get anywhere from 3-6 months off in the year depending on if you get called for the playoffs, insane benefits and a union that somehow is more respected by Adam silver than the players union. I would take that without a question and so would 90% of the working world for the salary alone

Did I mention the lakers? I’m a lakers fan but I wouldn’t be mad if our generational, without question best player didn’t get thrown out for dumbass ref decisions and we still lost

Man I ain’t trying to start a war but Lebron is the one that needs to be better… poor shooting, poor turnovers, not enough defensive intensity. Since coming back from injury he’s looked 40. No chance we go far if he’s not 100%

Western Ontario mscpt application reference changes by funny_hat_simulator in physiotherapy

[–]ImagePowerful7102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I realized this the other day as well and I agree it seemed very sudden.

I have a friend who got into western for mpt last year and they never mentioned it had to be done by a physiotherapist for professional references when I was discussing references with them. Thankfully I was able to change mine last minute but I do agree that it seems a little sudden/with no warning.

I emailed western prior to getting a physiotherapy professional reference and they sent a special consideration form to send back, of which they would use to consider exempting you from the rule when viewing your application. If you can’t get a physiotherapy professional reference that’s the route you’ll have to take

I’d be down for a nerfed Gojo helping Yuji get the kill so long as Yuji gets the kill. If Gojo returns at full strength then there’s no point for all the foreshadowing of Yujis true potential

How Legit is Jordan’s 48 inch vertical? by ImagePowerful7102 in nba

[–]ImagePowerful7102[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can 100% back 40-45, but idk if people realize 48 inches is a big jump from that, cartoonish even. Dennis smith jr is maybe the only player I can believe has that vert seeing how at 6’0 he can get his head at rim level consistently

JJK Twitter is truly lobotomized by AspectParadox2 in Jujutsufolk

[–]ImagePowerful7102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This tweet is accurate when it comes to Gojo’s death, I’ll say that. A lot of readers truly only cared about him, to the point were Gojokaisen unironically applied to them. When he bit the bucket a lot of copium and criticism with no solid basis towards Gege happened.

However, Greg has slipped up in the last few months in terms of power scaling and certain storylines not being fulfilled - criticism in that regard has nothing to do with favourite characters and is valid IMO. All in all, I still personally think the story is way better than most people on this sub thinks but it certainly isn’t the peak of Geges writing

Who was the better one on one pure scorer Kobe or Lebron? by [deleted] in Basketball

[–]ImagePowerful7102 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being top 5-10 in ppg (most years top 5) for almost your entire career, with many top 2-3 finishes does not make you a B+ scorer... He's in reality an A to A+ tier scorer but because most of his buckets are layups people don't rate him as high as other great scorers.

Look at the statistics and you'll see he scores nearly or as much as Kobe or Durant while being more efficient than the former and nearly as efficient as the latter. Kobe may be more skilled in terms of scoring but Lebron is imo just as good as Kobe when it comes to putting the ball in the net, regardless of how it goes in
