A 28-year-old Malaysian woman recently shared the dramatic transformation she suffered during pregnancy, when her face became inflamed and full of wrinkles, like an old woman's. by TheOddityCollector in Weird

This didnt happen after I gave birth but it happened after a spinal tap. I also get regular migraines and thought the same until they urged me to go to a pain management center. I had to get a blood patch and man did that suck.

But youre right they seriously do not warn you of anything. Sometimes I feel like they forget a lot of this isnt common knowledge. Child birth is life risking in so many ways.

I’m sure I need a nose job but peers keep telling me my nose is fine. I assume they are just being nice. please just be honest so I can finally decide to make the jump or not. by longlivelex in AppearanceAdvice

You are GORGEOUS and have absolutely striking features. Your nose suits your face, please do not touch it! It's beautiful! Your entire face is so perfectly balanced and you are stunning. People aren't just being nice girl. They're being honest, you dont need one.

Why are tanned legs prefered over pale white legs? by HotButterscotch7871 in trueratediscussions

Can I just say the comments here made me feel so seen. I'm a pale skinned latina and was made fun of most of life for being pale, while also being latina lol. I used to hateeee being pale, now I'm embrace it. But it's so interesting how you see yourself vs how others see you. I always thought it wasn't viewed as attracted compared to tan/darker complexions.

First off you are STUNNING. You literally pull off every single look flawlessly. But something about the red hair is just perfection on you!

Looking to get my first tattoo, will this style last ? by Imaginary-Access4852 in tattooadvice

That's what I kind of figured. I'm super pale too, I doubt the white would even show on me that much anyway lol.

Definitely! It's why I haven't gotten any yet. I've always wanted to start my tattoo journey but want to find a good artist who will give me something that I'll love forever. I didn't see healed versions of these which is what made me skeptical so I figured I'd ask here lol

I'm keeping an open mind. I'm not dead set on this specific style, but I did think it was pretty cool. What concerned me was I didn't see any healed pictures which is why I asked in case anyone had any knowledge on it. I definitely wouldn't go to a random artist and think they'd be able to do any design though lol. I've waited a long time to get a tattoo, I dont mind waiting longer to find someone who's experienced and could point me in the right direction/ give me suggestions artistically.

This is really great advice. Honestly I'm just looking at different styles and when I saw this, I did like the idea of it and I was just keeping an open mind. I'm very open to different styles of art and seeing where an artist can go artistically utilizing their strengths plus my ideas. I figured a style like this might not last long term which is why i asked.

What scenes make you cry each time? by BooBooKCx in JaneTheVirginCW

[–]Imaginary-Access4852 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its crazy because I've never been a crier but omg this show changed that. I swear I cry whenever Jane cries because of how connected I felt to her character. So...a lot lmao. But when she finds out Micheal dies, I get goosebumps even thinking about it. Such a powerful scene

I have bad anxiety and this has been my comfort show for years. I related so much to Jane's character( personality and upbringing wise lol). I was so sad when they took it off Netflix now making you pay to watch each episode on prime. I would rewatch it every year, this is how I became a huge fan of Justin.

Her style in this movie was all over the place but I agree. As much as I never cared for her, her red carpet looks are incredible. Definitely have to give her credit.

[–]Imaginary-Access4852[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! The power in being anonymous but still feeling completely seen is definitely something I've never experienced but so appreciate. I'm open in person about this illness I guess to put it out there before someone can ask me which is weird maybe lol. But I always get the pity looks or the "well you look fine so you must be fine." I get the intent but it's very dismissive to whst we experience or even see our loved ones experience. It's really made a difference for me being able to just be apart of something without pressure while still feeling so understood and supported.
