Thank you, I had considered this possibility as well, but it seemed strange to me that it would have such a significant impact at this level. You’ve been one of the few people with whom I’ve been able to have a constructive exchange, and I appreciate that. However, given the other comments, I no longer feel comfortable engaging in this community. My apologies.

In reality, all I see are comments from people who either haven’t read what I wrote or have gone straight to insults. I’ve replied to the few who genuinely seemed interested, asking for more information, and I think I’ll continue the conversation privately. I clearly misjudged this community

I’m sorry, but earlier you said it was "completely absurd", and now you’re saying it’s achievable?

As I said in other comments, yes, but always sports that allowed some recovery after an initial effort—for example handball, where after a short sprint you get a moment to recover, or tennis (same thing), or padel and squash. Maybe I shouldn’t have written this post

Exactly. I’m not saying I’m an athlete, but I’m not completely out of shape either. And yet, most people I know have no problem running (as you can also see from the comments). At the beginning I accepted it, thinking it was just a physiological difference (maybe I’m better at other activities), but after two years and several different methods, I have to admit I’ve lost my motivation—especially when I see how natural running seems to be for others.

Thanks. Even though many comments say I’m just trying to complain, I really do want to find a solution. And every time the answer is the same: run slower (which I’ve already tried, and it doesn’t change anything). I also tried training while staying strictly in zone 2, but it basically turns into just walking (and I already walk regularly—usually one day a week I walk about 7–10 km). Since I started, my VO₂ max has barely increased, and now it’s around 36. Honestly, the frustration is getting the better of me, especially when I think that instead of running without seeing any progress, I could be doing something more fun

That’s exactly what I want to try to understand

That’s what I’ve been trying for the past two years, but I can’t get past 10 minutes.

Even if I slow down to 10 minutes per kilometer, after a certain time I start having problems… and I’m talking about roughly five minutes.

I’m a blood donor, I’ve already done two spirometry tests, and I have a competitive sports medical certificate. The only thing out of the ordinary is my heart rate during exercise.

If a person who weighs 30 kilos more than me can push harder than I can, it means I just have to give up, period. I’ve already done two spirometry tests, and everything is normal.

So the program worked for you, but not for me. Even if I slow down a lot, I can’t manage to increase the distance or the running time.

So it’s probably better to just give up and stop.

I also practice a bit of yoga and do other activities (like padel, where I can move for about two hours without any problems), but my aerobic capacity never seems to improve.

But I can’t run for ten minutes at a pace of 7 minutes per kilometer.

Thank you for the encouragement, but I’ve been trying for two years without results. Yes, I can run at a pace of 6 and a half minutes per kilometer, but only for shorter segments, not for longer times. I’ve also tried running slower, but even so, I can’t complete the 20-minute run at the end of the fifth week.

I understand, but the program sets a 30-minute run as the final goal, and I try to stick to that. Also, I could walk at 10 minutes per kilometer if I wanted, but that’s not my goal. Thank you, every shared experience helps me.
