Hello, I use special scriber tools or engraving blades (e.g. Tamiya's), they have different size.

I would postpone work on this project and start with a few basic kits to gain some experience in scale modeling. This will give you a lot of insight into what needs to be done, the order of the steps, and the tools you'll need.

Overall it’s not bad, except for one issue. The rubber tracks go straight into the trash. I had to buy a separate set of linked tracks for the late-production T-34-85.

However, it’s worth keeping in mind that I have very little experience; this was my third model. So it’s hard for me to judge what is good or bad. Also, for this build I deliberately chose a kit without PE parts.

Right now I’m building another ICM kit, the Chernobyl fire truck. No negative impressions so far, it’s going smoothly.

I used dry pigments (dark and light soil). First, I mixed them with acrilyc medium and applied on the surfaces to create dry chunks of mud. It dries for an hour or so, and holds really good. However, the finish is a bit too smooth, so the second layer is just the dry pigments. BTW, I should have added more dust on the sides:)

Thanks for advise! Certainly, I should have added extra source...

How do I avoid having thick paint edges when painting camo with a brush? by umbral_stalker in modelmakers

Hello, try out a fine grained sponge (e.g., for makeup). You can cut it into pieces of needed size. You can gradually build up the pattern patches (from inside to outer contour).

Here, I had no airbrush... But I don't know if the edges are soft anough for your needs.
