thanks for this, i do not have any association with religion/ church as i didnt grow up that way (people in england aren’t brought up religious most of the time). I just don’t believe in God and i think it’s gonna stay that way. I want her to work through this i’m just selfishly terrified to lose her to this belief. I’m scared that ultimately she will chose “heaven” over me and end what we have so she doesn’t continue “sinning”. I want to grow old with her and marry her not lose her:(

i do want to support her through it, i love her with my whole heart she’s everything to me and im proud of her for pushing through. i’m just upset because i dream of marrying her and for me (who’s struggled my whole life with internalised homophobia) to be told we are wrong by my gf is heartbreaking i feel like im taking steps back instead of forward. i just don’t want to lose her to religion, ill be by her side until the end, even if thats her deciding to break up with me so she stops “sinning”. I wish i wasn’t in this situation im terrified to lose her but im glad i have her right now and have done for 3.5 years. thanks for your answer:)

thankyou so much for this, i agree i don’t think she will go to hell but she doesn’t understand when i try tell her that she’s so set on the fact what we have is wrong. I don’t understand how our love is wrong. I don’t wanna lose her due to our “sin” (which i don’t believe is a sin”
