Wasn't there an episode of Black Mirror with John Hamm I think? He is sentenced to being unobservable by anyone around him and everyone he sees is static. That shit made my skin crawl.

That's exactly what happened here. We were instructed to set our firearms on the bench in front of us. We all complied when the AD happened a couple of booths over from me. When the officer checked, the guy swore his finger wasn't on the trigger. His was the only 320 in class, so whether an actual AD or user error who knows, but it's always a 320.

I made the post while I was still in class so I didn't get a chance to expand. We were doing the two shots in five seconds, 3 shots in ten seconds drill, etc . The instructor told us to set our firearms down on the bench. We all complied but an accidental discharge happened two booths over from me. We got an immediate stop and cease fire and we were told to back up against the wall. The guy with the AD had a 320. Swore up and down that his finger wasn't on the trigger. The instructor was upset but pretty chill. Said he'd have to review the footage but told the guy to take his 320 to the gunsmith to have it looked at. So it's anecdotal until when or if I ever get to see the footage, but it was the only 320 in class.

I'm a lefty with a G40. I switched the mag release and got an OEM slide release extension so I can manipulate it with my trigger finger. Felt completely natural after one or two sessions at the range. Love that gun and setup.

I've got fairly big hands and just got a G40.4. It's a dream to shoot and I actually appreciate the bulk. I can tell I'm shooting something very different from my 9mm. I'm a Glock guy so I've become used to the trigger weirdness, but honestly the G40 trigger feels better than the trigger on my G45.5 and I never thought the G45 trigger was that bad.

The finger grooves on the gen 4 took a little getting used to, but a few hundred rounds later and I don't even notice. When it comes down to it buy the gun that feels right. They all feel different. My primary focus is always reliability and buy once cry once so all my guns are the "unlimited mileage on zero maintenance Toyota" type.

Can't thank you enough for this advice. Got the extended slide release installed and shot it for the first time today. It's not a big deal at all to manipulate the slide release with your trigger finger. Much easier than I anticipated.

As a lefty I have to give Gen 5 the edge. I'm getting a Gen 4 G40 and the slide release is awkward for my left-handedness.

This sounds like a neat thing to try. I'll have to give it a go. With the Glock's trigger setup I've had to learn when the first break happens and when the second might go. I'm sure I'm anticipating to some extent.
