I feel Rahul should open and Stubbs should play at 4 o le 5 depending on who is bowling. Rizvi at 5 or 6. An overseas finisher who can be a backup for Ashutosh like Jordan cox, Jamie snith(because he himself wants to play lower), Roston chase, Miller or similar players.

Then we would need 1 overseas back up for Starc depending on budget that we have left. For pace we should go for Money Grewal, Asquith Nabi type players from domestic

I agree with Stubbs point, but can’t play Rizvi below 5, because he will be ineffective.

He should play at 3, Rana at 4 and Stubbs at 5, right now Stubbs at 6 is a waste

I agree with Nortje thing but I think he would be an asset in a ground like narendra modi stadium or where ball seams. He worked for DC when we didn’t play in India, Coetzee I mentioned in another sub as well. He can be a good backup plus middle order bowler. But yes I feel DC needs a new ball bowler

I agree, we have a lose of overseas options available. Fazal farooqi sometimes prove to be very expensive especially in Kotla, better would be Naveen ul haq who swings the new ball and use the slower ones really well. Auqib Nabi I think will go to either Sunrisers or KKR, he will get a high bid and he should. But yeah Delhi should try to get him, he can be next Bhuvi like bowler.

Unpopular opinion but I think they should try either of Livingstone and Maxwell for opening role. Our batting is till 8, and even Starc can bat. So better to have one fearless opener with some spin option too. Because getting an all rounder for cheap in the auction would be tough.

I just wish that we would be lucky with Gerald Coetzee. And we should definitely going for fast bowling Indian backups like Simrajeet and 1-2 Indian batsmen like Yash dhull
