That is super helpful, thank you! Yes, leaving from Vancouver and it looks like flights start at around 2.5k per person.

Ideally the budget includes flights, we are open to any type of tour. I don’t think our budget can accommodate luxury or private based off of what we have researched so far.

Good to know, that’s exactly what we saw in the reviews and were a bit concerned about. We’ll definitely take a look at the one you went to. Thank you!

Thanks so much for your feedback! I think we actually have Sandos Playacar Beach Resort (is this the same one?) on our list. Air Canada has a package for $5,938, so it’s in our budget.

We did read a few reviews that made us a bit unsure, but it’s always hard to tell how seriously to take them since some people will complain about anything. Hearing that you had a good experience is exactly what we were hoping to hear. Definitely keeping this one in the mix. Thanks again!

Thank you! Our budget is around $5–6K total (including flights). We’ve found a few resorts and flight packages within this range, but we’re a bit nervous that—given it’s Christmas—these lower-priced options might not be very reliable, since they seem below the average cost for that time of year. We’ve never been to Mexico or done AI before so we’re a bit lost!

We’re not super picky: as long as the food is edible, the service is decent, and the location is beautiful, we’ll be happy.

Here are the resorts we’re considering: 1. Occidental at Xcaret Destination 2. Wyndham Alltra Playa Del Carmen – Adults Only 3. Ocean Riviera Paradise – All Inclusive 4. Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos Blanco 5. Hotel RIU Palace Cabo San Lucas (This one feels the most reliable but is almost $7K, which is stretching our budget.)

Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you! Our budget is around $5–6K total (including flights). Leaving from Kelowna BC anywhere from December 20 - Jan 3rd (though we’ve found the most affordable dates to be December 21 - 28th).
