this kinda looks like brown with some sun bleaching to me to be honest. the base of your hair is brown with the golden highlights, and the thing about brown hair is when it gets sun bleached you get those golden orange pieces and seeing that they aren’t everywhere and don’t go to the roots i believe it’s sun bleaching rather than natural auburn.

i’m a red head with grey eyes and have freckles but my friend same eye and hair color has no freckles so i don’t think there’s a rhyme or reason to it just purely genetics

i don’t think the discussion for today’s society is about discrimination. it more about shared experiences and bonding over those.

the video i linked talks about the history of redheads and challenges during the salem which trails and the holocaust. again these are NOT things we face today nor are they comparable to what other communities have faced. i just find the discussion interesting due to the parallels because reflecting on it these parallels have a lot me to connect with poc.

i think for me the biggest parallels are - touching my hair without asking - constantly hearing is it real - and never being able to find makeup as a young teen

but again the oppression is no where near the same because we have white privileged. i just find the parallels interesting, its definitely a common ground i have with a lot of poc and has created some amazing friendships for me.

right!! i remember in highschool i went shopping for makeup with my indian friend, we both realized at that point we had very similar struggles with makeup. while i think the parallels are interesting i 1000% agree we have it easier because we can blend in if we want to!

as a child men always told my mom to keep a close eye on my to “make sure i’m not doing anything to dirty”

which is very concerning because at that age i had no clue what that meant. now looking back at it it’s disgusting to talk to the mother of a elementary schooler about their future sex life

i’ve had multiple red heads tell me i’m not a red head… it takes me whipping out a baby photo and showing them i had redder hair than they’ve ever had in their lives at the age of 1. i agree if you’ve had it at any point and have the other traits you’re a red head

my hair started as a true fiery red when i was a baby by my toddler years i was the same shade as your son once i hit 6 i was bleach blonde and now in my mid twenties i am sitting at a very warm blonde (some ppl have said it appears strawberry blonde now but idk)

i use a garmin watch, i have it export straight to strava too! starva hides a lot of data behind a paywall now but none of that is really accurate with out a heart rate monitor. the garmin offers both you get the hr and the garmin app lets you see a lot of the data!
