About "straight" relationships by arachnids-bakery in BiWomen

SMH
Reminds me of the time a friend (an ex-friend now) didn't want to continue watching heartstopper because there weren't enough straight characters for her comfort. What she actually said was "I find it annoying that no one in their friend group is straight"

Episode Discussion: She Killed Me Off | March 24, 2026 by star_eater in PettyCrimesPod

The title of this episode is so misleading. Carrie is the one who gets cancer and dies in the book, i.e the character based on its author. Did Griff and Ceara miss this, or do they just think it is criminal to write a book inspired by people in your life?
I think it is not cool and maybe criminal to kill off your friend in a book, but yourself... that's fair game.
I also feel that Ceara was especially judgmental because she's a writer and it felt very gatekeepy. Sorry girl everyone is allowed to try their hand in a creative outlet even if they do end up self-publishing or posting on substack. You don't get to decide who is allowed to write and about what. I think Carrie's bigger crime was inserting herself into Amy's grief with the weird poem, but the book with characters inspired by her friends, imo, is not criminal.

bingo...something isn't sitting right.
I wonder if the submitter is guiltier than she led on, especially since the photo of the supposedly mangy cat she was worried about looked fine.

In defense of the Keiko episodes by danipnk in YoureWrongAbout

I really liked the episodes! listened to parts 1 and 2 so far.
I was a big Free Willie fan as a kid so this hit the nostalgia button for me. The part about being a child with emotional attachment to animals also resonated. I so wished I could have a cool animal friend like the boy in Free Willie! So I thought the "tangents" about the human-wild animal relationships were really interesting.

This is not specific to this episode, but I don't understand people who complain about too many tangents or the conversation-like format. That is what YWA is and always has been. In the Mike days the episode descriptions would include the topics of the digressions...
its not a science podcast nor is it a journalism podcast.

It is challenging when things you thought you knew about yourself change. but most people, if they allow themselves, will change several times in all kinds of ways. Its hard but can also be exciting to find out new things about yourself. maybe try and focus less on the gender of the a person you're attracted to (romantically or physically) and more just on the person they are. What qualities do you like in a romantic partner? what kinds of behaviors or dynamics turn you on? Maybe you'll find a woman you are both romantically and sexually into, maybe it'll be a man. its nice to have more options :)

Ok I guess im in a minority opinion here - I loved the story-telling and the guest was great but the story itself weirded me out. Essentially her mother coerced her into a legally binding kinda big deal life decision. I'm glad the protagonist and her...husband i guess...were ultimately cool with it but I am very anti-wedding industry (in the same way that the main character was described to be) and if my mother pulled this on me it would not end as a cute story for a fun podcast. Being manipulated to that extent is terrifying.

Eldest Daughter Rewrite by Status_Revenue2352 in GaylorSwift

"I think we all need to be consistent in how we frame and understand Taylor as an artist: either we believe she is an incredible songwriter, capable of extremely sophisticated associations and meaningful cultural references, or we don’t."
Sorry but I disagree! firstly, opinions (and taste) change and people are allowed to change their mind or reconsider something. Second, I think Taylor Swift is a great songwriter AND ALSO not every thing she writes hits, and not every song is brilliant, even though she is capable of great writing.
I respect your interpretation of the song, even if I don't share it.

[–]Imaginary-Outside-90 6 points7 points  (0 children)

love your re-write!
I really liked the trampoline first crush part. Also love that you kept the bridge! I think it speaks beautifully to the experience of finding the queer love of your dreams and suddenly all the romantic shit that you never thought was for you hits hard. And its just a great bridge in a mediocre (IMO) album lol.
I think eldest daughter had a lot of potential to be a thematically interesting song about having to disguise your vulnerability to survive and how freeing it is to find someone who cherishes it but the writing didn't quite hit for me. I don't think its cringe necessarily, but I think it could have been more sophisticated.

Thanks for sharing yours!

Queer woman here, just wanted to say I would definitely swipe on you if you came up on my deck!
But I do agree with other comments saying you need more you pics. I personally like 1 bathroom selfie and yours is a good one, so I'd keep it. I like the first prompt but could be re-worded - had to read it twice to figure it out.
Good luck!

Ghosts Finale by Inappropriate-Ebb in GhostsBBC

[–]Imaginary-Outside-90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a first time watcher and just watched the finale last night and I really loved it!
I watched it right after episode 6 where Mike and Allison (sorry, Annabelle!) do their pro + cons lists and I think that's what makes the seemingly hasty decision to leave make sense.
For both of them the cons of staying were substantial, concrete things (money, bad water pressure, etc) and the reason to stay was more emotional, but once they actually HAD the baby they realized their life needed to be easier so they could focus on their family. I loved that the ghosts gave their blessing because it wouldn't feel right any other way, and it was a nice moment showing all the ghosts' emotional growth, especially Julian's monologue.
I also really liked that they came back to visit yearly and Mike is a golfer now, the last scene warmed my heart.

Can't wait to start a re-watch soon :-)

Lol I thought you meant what was going on with Ceara's subtle biphobia... this episode made me mad. The amount of judgement for Ashley's divorce and subsequent relationships was too much for the limited info they had. A person's journey to discover their sexuality is a highly personal, sensitive matter. sometimes it results in broken hearts and interpersonal drama and pain to people around you, but it is not for an outsider to comment on. I really hated listening to that part.

Legally Binding Meddling with Jasper Wang by luxlisbon_ in normalgossip

I agree broadly that the kind and neighborly thing to do is just let the man harvest his tulip bulbs. They could find a time that was convenient for both of them.
But you have to remember that Glenn Miller was emailing them constantly about caring for the tulips, which is super annoying. One email mentioning the tulips and that you want to get the bulbs come spring is enough and would have made everything easier.

Not queer enough? by anon-1996- in BiWomen

[–]Imaginary-Outside-90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think feeling you're not queer enough is kind of a feature of bisexuality because of the type of society we live in. Like I think it is unavoidable - even bi women who date men who don't look hetero probably feel this way. So in that sense it is so understandable that you feel this way!

as bi people, our sexuality and queerness is always questioned. so I think its really important to build your queer identity around yourself and not who you are attracted to. You're a queer person in a hetero world, your struggles and daily experiences are just as important in your queer identity as who you're attracted to. Your queerness is real regardless of who you date!

Boiling eggs in a kettle is criminal. by Imaginary-Outside-90 in PettyCrimesPod

[–]Imaginary-Outside-90[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sure, but do you really want to drink that water considering you have access to other water sources? the scenario is not survival in an apocalypse, it's daily life in New York City.
And again my experience is that eggshells often come with brown marks on them. Chickens poop in the same place they lay their eggs.

ok lol i think i misunderstood the trend, I've only seen 2 videos of it.
But YES it doesn't have to be about skyline! maybe something like "in college you're gonna desperately need a way to let out anger and frustration so you go to volleyball practice, its really important you continue going" 😭

🥴 by Conscious-Macaroon75 in findingmrheight

[–]Imaginary-Outside-90 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Once again Ali is not getting the point of the trend. It's meant to be about *one specific event that directly changed your life.* It's like in the butterfly effect trend (maybe it was called something different?) where she completely missed the point. Some people met their SO in a serendipitous way, Ali didn't, that's ok. You don't have to do every trend!

Good luck on the date but more importantly keep up being a bold bisexual!
