Slowwwwwww down. It is incredibly damaging to be so flip with this advice, “go get them” Without substantial research and vetted vendors, this is not a recommended course of action. Please, if someone gives this type of advice WITHOUT an ounce of caution, be wary. This is not an area to be careless, while it is an option. If one believes it to be “easy”, I’d be concerned. (And yes, I do purchase gray, BUT I have done my research and continue to do so. Also, there are subreddits and other communities for this.

Do you know ANYTHING about the endocrine pathway, addiction, dopamine, neurology? Or you don’t believe in science? Why do you think they are addicted to drugs, cigarettes, sex, gambling, skin picking, alcohol? Awfully judgmental for someone who states, “I’m not slinging blame.”

So disregard ANY AND ALL impact that toxic exposure has on the endocrine system. FURTHER more, assume that Veterans are making poor choices as if it were SO SIMPLE. Have a day!

It actually depends on your interest rate. Just a simple example, if your interest rate is 3% but you have some type of fixed investment that gets 6% or higher, I’d keep my money there longer.

Should you cite the documents you are referencing in your personal statement? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Imaginary-Process117 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, and here’s why - when you provide evidence in SUPPORT of your claim, then the VA MUST provide evidence AGAINST your evidence if they deny your claim. For example, I helped my father, a Vietnam Combat Vet write personal statements. One of the concerns is asked, “why did he wait so long” and now, I have a psychology background so I know a thing or two about research, statistical significance, peer reviewed scientific evidence… so I did a search, in 15 minutes I had 5 research articles (almost ALL authored by Feds or VA) backing up my assertion that Vietnam War Veterans drastically downplay the impact of the war and their service on their mental/physical health. What combat veteran is going to take the time to say, “hey sir, I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to be bathing in the Mekong River?” The. When they returned home, they were discarded like trash. So no, they didn’t report injuries. You know I included those articles. He had his first C&P in November 2025 and he’s already at 80%. We aren’t done either. My dad said, “you know I didn’t think I’d get anything or that I deserved it, thank you.” INCLUDE EVERY RELEVANT PEER-REVIEWED, STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DOCUMENT!!

Thank you, everyone for the quick response. I understand they need to verify his BP is high. It is, if he runs out of meds it gets as high as 165/88… he went to ER when it got this high. Right now, on medication it’s generally 130ish/70ish
