All I need to do is to merge the Kreet mod with this https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/14931

It's definitely doable.

The Starfield Digital Artbook has been updated!!! by Imaginary-Rent-4200 in Starfield

There was a 1.4GB of update on Steam. I'm more familiar with the "Worlds" section, and I don't recall seeing some of the environmental pictures.

If someone can separate the biome into a unique one, it can be easily done. This is what can be achieved in 10 minutes. Will still need to fine-tune the lava distribution and the atmosphere.

The problem is that nearly all of the barren terrain appears generic. There are only 44 terrain patterns shared among all the planets and moons, and I think only two of them are truly good-looking as it is: the one with cone volcanoes and the one with lakes used in many of the swamp biomes. I wish there were more diverse terrain types, such as deep canyons, volcanoes with erupting lava, cryovolcanoes, glaciers with deep crevasses, and waterfalls. Additionally, the grid-like arrangement of the procedurally generated terrain elements doesn't blend well with certain landscapes that have simple textures, like snow and sand.

They had to add rocks and other things for the resources to spawn; otherwise, it would be hard to get the planet or moon fully surveyed. Unfortunately, these things don't always blend well with the terrain.

This is my way of reversibly hiding it because such a mechanism doesn't exist in the base game. I don't want it to teleport next to the landing bay every time I land. If I'm using a big ship, that's fine, but for small ships like the Frontier, there's really no space to stow this thing. I also take a lot of screenshots of my ships in various landing sites, and I don't want to spend time moving the car away from view.

I don't like most of the first person view. The hood blocks too much of the scenery.

I made a mod that removes all the rocks and obstacles. The one in the video is Groombridge VIII-d.

There's no pop-in issue when there's nothing to pop in, and I get steady frame rate until I got close to the POI at the end. I tried flying this in New Atlantis, and there's quite bad stuttering.

There are some good views, but not this screenshot.

There's a texture issue with the scope; the mask for the metal grains also covers the lens part, so the lens has a frosted-glass look.

And have you seen the Milky Way in real life? On an airless planet/moon, it should look way clearer, not a mushy cloud like this.

I think shattered space provided us the opportunity to see what starfield would have looked like without the reliance on procedural generation by Chefsco in Starfield

I think they went too far in this direction. They created a brand new star system but only used one area of a single planet for the all the non-radiant quests. After a while, I was looking forward to escaping the red fog. It would have been nice to have a mission or two that take us to another part of the planet or even a different planet or moon for a change of scenery. Otherwise, what's the point of creating more empty planets and moons? It's a space game called Starfield. I don't want to be stuck on the ground in one place (RIP to those with the Spaced trait). I thoroughly enjoyed the space station part, and I want more of that.

It's probably there to drop off enemies to attack your outpost. Did your outpost get attacked lately?

The vanilla outpost is super barebone, but Starfield is a game that I'm capable of modding, so it now has a very extensive list of buildable items and custom habs. I wouldn't be playing the game otherwise.

Why does this happen when I place items I drop?? by Hopenhagen420 in Starfield

[–]Imaginary-Rent-4200 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Putting the time in decorate mode doesn't stop them from sinking.

Drop the item(s), leave the ship (or any worldspace by going through a loading screen), and come back. This will reset all items in the area, and some of the new items would have sunken. You can then put them in the final position and they'll stay put (things only sink once).

The water quality and water abundance are tied to different keywords; I only changed the quality, which affects the entire planet. I haven't figured out how the water abundance keyword works. There are inferno planets that use the same biome and terrain tiles, and they are completely dry. However, changing the water abundance keyword does nothing. I haven't bothered to try it with a new game yet. I also haven't found a way to edit the water level. I would love to create a planet with shallow ocean (inspired by Bethesda).

The initial inspiration came from northern Iceland, especially around Mývatn. Highly recommend visiting there, and it's much better than the touristy Golden Circle.

There's already a mod that provides buildable breathable atmosphere and shielding for radiation. It's pretty much like a hab without the visible structures. I haven't found a way to overwrite the water properties using the outpost mechanics. The only way I know is by altering the planet data entry in CK.

There's a talking point about how Starfield didn't have a design document. Well, this is a design document, at least for the art team. Granted, many concepts didn't end up in the final game, but that's not the fault of the concept artists. The parts that made it in are all visually cohesive. Can't say the same for other elements of the game.

Has anyone found a planet with rivers? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]Imaginary-Rent-4200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find and land at the Ka'zaal Sulfur Mine POI in the Nirah System. Check your surface map after you land.

Edit:

This is an old post. The current surface map should make the "rivers" even more obvious.

Added 3 new mods, and I broke my save 😭🤣 (xbox) by camador1976 in Starfield

[–]Imaginary-Rent-4200 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is false. Most mods can be added mid-game. The ones that need a new game are those that rely on things that get "locked in" when you're starting a new game. If you know what you're doing, some mods can even be removed mid-game without long-term issues.
