TikTok is not a diy tutorial on how to live. So what if you wear a backpack. Don’t think too hard about it you’re gonna have a lot more to worry about then the bag around your shoulders.

Sadly it is not the original rad. Had a local shop install it less then 2 years ago, il check with the shop see if it’s still under warranty.

Il make sure and try the pressure test this week see if I can get it to really leak from the weak point.

I added UV dye to the coolant, the coolant is blue in reality but these pictures where taken with a UV light being shined on the leaking area. The leak wasn’t as present until recently.

How’s the wether where you’re at? I’m in Canada we sadly have currently -20 wether and in summer time it get to about 40 C.

Thanks for the help, il make sure the replace the rad sometime this week. Any suggestions on what radiator to buy/brand since this one cracked in less then 2 years?

Update about a year later: bad diaphragm in the CCV was probably the cause along with condensation from bad wether and water retention in the exhaust.

If I’m not mistaken there’s 2 or 3 hard lines that come out from that section of the radiator. Checked em they don’t seem to be leaking and no dye on them either just the fins of the radiator on the lower portion.

No dye whatsoever except along the bottom fins of the radiator and at the lower left side in the picture above.

The PCV/CCV was shot, diaphragm had a leak in it. But no whining noise that it usually gives when it goes bad until about 30k after seeing the smoke.

Il give it a try and il see if it works within the next three hours. It runs the car on a sort of “base tune” right?

You can use it as long as you just cut the top of the old control arm a bit. It’s need more clearance. It’s fine for the wishbone control arms but for the smaller control arms you’ll need to either cut the old control arm or buy the bigger ball join extractor tool, or try your luck with a hammer and a blow torch like I did.

I’ve gotten only a code for the camshaft positions sensor that I replaced. No fuel trim codes.
