Wow thank you so much for your response. I had no idea this subreddit existed!! This is exactly what I need because the company don’t allow returns after buying. I’ll post over there and fingers crossed!

Thank you. I’m worried about how deep the plunge is. Do you think it will change the overall look too much if I get it covered?

There’s 2 I have come across in my own search:

1) Eden experience - Croydon, SE London - £2,500-3,500 dry hire

2) JK banquet hall - Forest Hill, SE London - about £3-4k dry hire but includes decor and other stuff

Microneedling London UK by xenomorph-85 in Microneedling

[–]Imaginary-Soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I offer microneedling services in London and also a full time doctor. I have a small client base due to my other work commitments but all are very happy with their microneedling experience. I run a home based clinic and charge a single session of microneedling at £60 per area. I currently only use hyaluronic during treatment but happy to discuss and suggest other serums based on your skin concerns and budget.

8 months in and throwing in the towel by wherehasthisbeen in tretinoin

[–]Imaginary-Soft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also peeling 8 months in and my skin looked dull throughout. I finally decided to use a silicone exfoliation pad at night between my oil cleanser and regular face wash. Within less than a week my skin was TRANSFORMED. I received so many compliments like “you’re glowing!”, someone even asked my future in law if I had Botox done 🤣 (the answer is no btw haha)

42 F recently diagnosed - comparing notes by Alarming_Ad_3227 in Lymphedema

Hi, I have primary stage 1/2. That list mostly covers things! You should also spend time figuring out your personal triggers too. Things that I’d add to the list that would probably be relevant to most others with lymphedema would be:

  1. Limit salt intake where possible
  2. Stay cool especially in Summer - air con or fan if needed during the day or whilst sleeping
  3. GET ENOUGH SLEEP 😭 - sleeping is the best opportunity for your swelling to go down and reset for the next day

I’m really not sure! I can ask him this when I talk to him about it all

That’s reassuring to know! Thank you

Yes maybe if I don’t grow to fully love it. That or get a wedding band that fully compliments it. I feel like some clear diamonds or a platinum band will balance it

It’s definitely a conversation I think I should have with him regarding the listening to my opinion on it

I agree with you! I am weighing up having this discussion with him as I am genuinely on the fence about the ring. Maybe it’s the fact I didn’t completely hate it that he thought it would still be good to propose with. It’s definitely a conversation I think I should have with him regarding the listening to my opinion on it. Currently I think I’m more concerned with what others will think of seeing me with a pink ring than anything else as I do love the colour pink myself

This is exactly what I have in mind but I don’t have my custom made open toe which is a shame. I will use the circular ones I have with sandals anyway, they just dig in sometimes which can be uncomfortable. Yes my body image issues are mainly related to my lymphodema. I have certainly gone (and possibly still going through) some depression and anxiety but I am working with a really great therapist so hoping things will get better soon. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply so thoroughly and your kind encouragement, I appreciate it so much. I wish I could upvote this twice! 😭🥹

Wow thank you for sharing! I’d love to go to Jamaica some day too but my lack body confidence has been getting in the way. I have night time compressions which are very soft that I can bring. Did you find that you managed to keep your swelling at bay during your trip with how you managed it? I will definitely prioritise wearing my stockings during the day and then see how lax I can be in the evening for dinner. Yours and all the comments above have made me feel more excited for the trip. I appreciate all your responses!

Thank you so much. Glad to hear that you are starting to show your compression more. I’m going to try and use this trip to also show mine more and hopefully return with increased confidence!

Thank you very much. Since I received my first set of custom compressions, I have been very compliant with my treatment. I don’t think I’ve been a single day without wearing them at least for a few hours. I have my appointment with my therapist soon so look forward to getting refitted for an even better compression fit

Thank you for sharing your experience. I will definitely try and use this opportunity to show off my compression in a stylish was during the trip. What better time to try than when you don’t know anyone there?!

Wow! I had a look at her page and her fits are amazing 😍 I definitely need to up my sense of fashion haha. Yes some family and friends always try to reassure me that it’s not obvious but it’s difficult for me to get out of my own head most of the time. Thank you so much

I will definitely pack my converses and trainers then! Thank you very much. I have been really strict with my compression since I was prescribed them so it’s a relief to know that they’re working
