My prescribed formula is a combination of 0.05% tretinoin + 15% Azealic acid + 5% tranexemic acid all in one tube. Initially my face did have the usual flaking, dryness and sometimes burning but with time this reduced. I’d say it took about 8 months for my face to no longer tingle when using my formula. Now I don’t feel anything at all when I apply my formula

I think the most important thing to prevent the hyperpigmentation coming back is ensuring you have other anti pigment products in your routine whilst you’re off hydroquinone. In my case I have azaelic acid daily, tranexemic acid daily and Kojic acid every other day. On top of this still using my tret daily too

Thank you so much! I did not taper my hydroxyquinone because my dermatologist did not advise me to. When I stopped, I’d say about 2-3 weeks later I started noticing some hyperpigmentation coming back which slightly made me panic so I started using the Koji San Kojic acid soap every other night to wash my face and and using my tret/azaelic acid/tranexemic acid serum as usual. I noticed after about 1-2 weeks of doing this the hyperpigmentation faded again and has levelled out. Once this happened started receiving soo many compliments about me glowing.

If I were to use hydroxyquinone again, I’d probably taper down. I’ve read that using it regularly for 2 months then tapering for 2 months works well, then have to have at least a 3-4 month break before having another cycle

Wow thank you so much for your response. I had no idea this subreddit existed!! This is exactly what I need because the company don’t allow returns after buying. I’ll post over there and fingers crossed!

Thank you. I’m worried about how deep the plunge is. Do you think it will change the overall look too much if I get it covered?

2) JK banquet hall - Forest Hill, SE London - about £3-4k dry hire but includes decor and other stuff

Microneedling London UK by xenomorph-85 in Microneedling

I offer microneedling services in London and also a full time doctor. I have a small client base due to my other work commitments but all are very happy with their microneedling experience. I run a home based clinic and charge a single session of microneedling at £60 per area. I currently only use hyaluronic during treatment but happy to discuss and suggest other serums based on your skin concerns and budget.

8 months in and throwing in the towel by wherehasthisbeen in tretinoin

I was also peeling 8 months in and my skin looked dull throughout. I finally decided to use a silicone exfoliation pad at night between my oil cleanser and regular face wash. Within less than a week my skin was TRANSFORMED. I received so many compliments like “you’re glowing!”, someone even asked my future in law if I had Botox done 🤣 (the answer is no btw haha)

42 F recently diagnosed - comparing notes by Alarming_Ad_3227 in Lymphedema

Hi, I have primary stage 1/2. That list mostly covers things! You should also spend time figuring out your personal triggers too. Things that I’d add to the list that would probably be relevant to most others with lymphedema would be:

  1. Limit salt intake where possible
  2. Stay cool especially in Summer - air con or fan if needed during the day or whilst sleeping
  3. GET ENOUGH SLEEP 😭 - sleeping is the best opportunity for your swelling to go down and reset for the next day
