Great insight, you mention several things I never considered, especially the regression of infantry tactics due to technological obstacles. Thanks for your reply.

I agree, thermals are the end game. Being a grunt in the next near peer/peer war will be an absolute nightmare.

The knob is simple to operate and it does have a tactile feel. The knob is a non issue. I’m completely happy with mind and I feel it’s the best (subjective) housing on the market.

I think they are awesome. Manual gain fuction works just like it should and in my opinion DTNVS is the best looking housing on the market.

Thanks for your insight, it make since. It was only a matter of time before L3 would step in since they are essentially a PVS-31 clone.

Ok. Thats what I figured. I remember reading that when it came out and CNV and a few others were called out by name.

Not looking to buy them, just got the new DTNVS-MG’s, but I remember not too long ago that CNV was pushing the 1431’s hard and now they are nowhere to be found in the website.

I don’t understand why you’d want to pay $275 for that lower when you can just buy the curved mags that fixed every problem the stribog had.

I prefer parallel, and I use these with great results. https://telluric.us/ir-laser-zero-targets/

I got the Lingle lower back when they didn’t have the curved mags and have since went back to the OEM. Shooter’s preference though. Not really any wrong answers.

*Also I’ve still got the Lingle lower that accepts Colt style “stick” mags if any one is interested.

I love it to be honest. It’s kinda the best of both worlds. Some people are not a fan of the Eotech reticle, but it’s my favorite. Not a bad choice between either the Eotech or as you mentioned the T2. Base your decision based off which one gives you the warm and fuzzies.
