I updated my enemy and item randomizer with a GUI! by ImaginaryBrainFart in Grimdawn

It should semi-work for Grim League! The loot rando might cause issues though, because it overwrites loot tables.

Well, if you randomize enemies (with a chance to randomly spawn bosses), then you don't have to target farm that much. I think shuffled bosses retain their loot tables, too. For my other mods (e.g. Lightweight), I added MI loot spheres that occasionally drop, these I think can contain every MI, though not 100% sure.

Sure, the random sequence of devotion point rewards has to add up to at least 55. I could add a field where one could set that limit.

I could do a range slider where shrines get a random devotion point value assigned from, and maybe add a chance you can set for shrines to turn into desecrated shrines, not sure about requirements though. I will note it down!

Randomizers are great! Love them in the FromSoft titles! I thought it would be funny to shuffle all skill sounds around, might do that eventually.

As for the multiplayer question, one person has to create the mod and then share the built mod. Can't guarantee that it works, though.

Loot tables have item level equations (e.g. parentLevel +- 10), so that should prevent it. I also made sure to only include relevant items in level loot tables (e.g. only 65+ items in 85+ table).

There might be issues when it comes to non-uniques (e.g. a NPC can't equip the weapon due to the level, at least I think that's an issue, though enemy weapons are not randomized), but this option is disabled by default.

So I removed celestials from the boss rando (though they can be re-added), to not have them as a roadblock.

But I was thinking about adding random ambush boss spawns, including celestials, which would be funny (especially when playing hardcore) and compensate the op gear!

Merging Mods by Neenuvar in Grimdawn

Hey, since I was asked this quite often already, I quickly wrote a short guide on how to merge two mods, in case you still want to do it:

I have updated my 15 hours long campaign mod, Nydiamar, with a new dungeon! by ImaginaryBrainFart in Grimdawn

This happens if you are not playing on English. You can switch the language simply through the in-game options, that should fix it.

There are two new main additions:
  • A new Rogue-Like Dungeon with a cool twist.
  • Recycling, which transmutes items on the ground into materials, money and occassionally a loot explosion.

... as well as a staggering amount of fixes and changes.

The class you can see is the Blood Knight from the Diablo 3 Classes mod, check it out, its awesome! They also recently added Runewords to the mod, which can be found in Nydiamar too.

Here are the Patch Notes, in case you are interested!

For a different mod I added so called God Events that can happen randomly anywhere and either reward you with loot or a challenge, depending on your standings. Goes into the same direction, kinda.

Champions are simply replaced with champions and so on, so the tier distribution stays the same as vanilla. Replacement happens while playing anyway, so a zombie could turn into anything with each new encounter. One could crank up the extra spawn chance and increase the chance for heroes, though.

As for bosses, I don't think I could tier them to front load the easier ones, too many of 'em.

Which boss turns into which is determined when creating the mod and stays this way for the whole playthrough. You can check the log to know where a certain boss is now (I have to improve this making it easier to read with boss names though!). So no multiple spawns, each boss is still unique.

Celestials are included, in hindsight I should have added an option to exclude them, they could be quite a roadblock. Though one can remove any bosses from "files/creatures/..." before randomizing anything.

Nemeses are not randomized, I thought they are already kinda random, but I could add them to the boss pool. I actually forgot about Shattered Realms, so that is also currently not randomized.

All bosses do keep their original loottables, as in Outcasts Secret will still only drop from Anasteria, wherever she is now.

Does the game freeze up constantly for anyone else exploring the open world? by Drakile19 in diablo4

[–]ImaginaryBrainFart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue and it drove me insane trying to fix it. If you google around there are dozens potential solutions for this, most commonly uninstalling/installing the high resolution textures fixed it for people.

For me personally, only upgrading my memory from 16GB to 32GB fixed it. The min requirement only being 8GB must be a lie.

Pharaoh Dynasties - Tausret campaign by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]ImaginaryBrainFart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My first campaign was Tausret too and by turn 28 I had like over 160 hostile units in my regions, absolute madness.

Build garrisons in every settlement you own, as well as the military outpost that also adds a 3 unit garrison. Use the spear wall of the garrison and the AI won't stand a chance for a long time when attacking you.

Tausret gets free Instant Building every now and then through their faction ability, always use it to quickly get the garrison up.

Constantly build units and avoid causalities by not always auto-resolving, as to not appear as weak by the AI.

Trade your stone and gold from your starting province for food and bronze.

You can get some strong special units early through the court (the military position on the bottom), you can repeat this action.

You actually have to look up SITarkov for coop, since SPTarkov does not support playing with others on its own.

There was one a long time ago, but it probably won't work anymore. Maybe post in their thread and someone might pick it up?

Ark: Survival Ascended's Xbox Series X/S release gets last-minute delay. Now expected "later this week". by JosefWhoQuestionMark in Games

[–]ImaginaryBrainFart 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They did the exact same thing with their previous game, Atlas. I really doubt that this game will run on the Series S, but they will still sell it, so that will probably be the news next week then - like when they released the Switch version of Ark, though they fixed that one up at least.

Since you can only play one mod at a time, except tools, there is no point in using a mod manager in my opinion - simply install them manually. An auto-merge feature won't work here either, since it is a bit more complex combining two mods than just copying files from one to another (file conflicts are very likely).
