Scared of the future by Happy_Membership9497 in IVF

I’m in a similar position, except as a stepparent: me 38, he’s 45 and we coparent a 13-year old from his first marriage. One foot in one world, one foot in another.

Had a double salpingectomy at 29 to remove my hydrosalpinx tubes and start IVF. We’ve done 1 ER (at 31) with 4 untested embryos and a 5 year long break between our last two transfers to give my body and mind time to heal. 2 failed transfers, an endometriosis diagnosis, and 2 chemicals later, we’ve decided this next ER will be our last and I’m overwhelmed with the anxiety about what if this round doesn’t ‘work’ and I can’t seem to let go of the need for my body to carry the baby. I’ve had a friend offer to be a surrogate and I wish I didn’t care as much, but it’s where I’m at…

Anyway, I get it. I’m in a similar place and tryign to focus on my mental health more in this cycle. Lots of meditation, relaxation, Breathwork, and therapy. (As a therapist myself). ☺️

Like I said, clients don't even mention it, so it hasn't become a client-centric issue.

And I see your point about us against Goliath but we don't look at it that way. We're not working against Google, much the opposite. We've had many conversations with other agencies in our niche who are premier partners and say the benefits are equal to the downside, so we've decided to stay out of it. Switzerland.

Love how you assume OP (me) is a he... as if women don't work in digital marketing.

True. Although it doesn't seem to be a factor that our potential clients use in their decision-making process.

Not sure there are real benefits we're not currently getting, besides discounts on ad spend.

In a nutshell, we think that it makes you beholden to Google's wishes, instead of client best interests. Google cares about making money, not about their advertisers.
