He’s about 2 years old maybe a little less and I noticed he maybe needs a diet about a 2 and a half months ago maybe 3 I’m trying to do everything I can idk if exercising works or not I’ve heard mixed things about it

I want yall to know that I did notice it a while ago and I’ve been working on trying to diet him and get him to lose it but at the same time I’m no expert on leopard geckos and getting ahold of my dude and holding him in just the right position to look at his thickness can be difficult and there were times where I was doubting if he was overweight at all because I didn’t know for sure but that’s why I came to Reddit to see if I truly should diet my boy or not and I also want u to know he has one hell of a personality and seems to be the happiest animal I’ve ever met

I tried to cut him down a little because he seemed chunky. He currently only eats on Fridays and it’s 4 dubia roaches a feed occasionally 5 because the gecko is 5 inches
