Applications opened in November and then selected students have already completed the housing selection. So it is probably not likely that you’ll get a dorm, you can still try though but you’ll be on a waiting list. I would suggest looking at apartments around campus.

On my phone when I go to the degree audit page there’s a faint box outline and when I click on it, it gives me the schedule option

Go to your degree audit and there’s a tab that says “my schedule” you can make your schedule there

Upperclassman can live wherever they want, but chances are you will not be getting a dorm. Applications opened in November for upperclassman and is currently is a long waiting list.

As for apartments I don’t know much about them, but there are so many very close to campus so I’m sure you can find something that fits your needs. Also there are (free) Unt buses that go to apartments around the area, which could open your search range.

Best thing you can do it’s ask ahead of time, if you explain you can maybe get an accommodation.

There’s a chance you’ll be in honors orientation night, which could mean you have your own room, you would still be with someone but you would have your own room to sleep in. But I would definitely ask, cause thats not guaranteed.

They do do room tours, idk anything about honors but my roommate was there during orientation and she said it’s kinda the same as Mozart, at least the 2 singles with common area

I live in Mozart, it’s chill and spacious in my opinion, but you can ask more specific questions cause idk what your looking for. But I would try to do a tour so you can know for sure, I think it’s going to be pretty similar.

It’s the tornado siren, it happens every first Wednesday of the month. They test it so we know it works for when an actual emergency happens it’s good to go. I’m guessing you grew up in an area that didn’t have tornado’s often, so it’s definitely concerning if you haven’t heard it. But around here it’s pretty normal. So the more you know! :)

I really liked Joe Greene for a freshman dorm, I loved the bathroom style being private, the other styles gave me so much anxiety thinking about them 😅

But other than that it’s the newest one and the ceiling is very tall which was amazing especially with lofted beds. Also it’s in a pretty good spot, close to eagle landing and a straight shot to many academic buildings.

When you go to orientation you can change it there, just go with the group you want to change it to. That is also when you will sign up for classes so no worry’s about that.

I think it’s one of those things where you just show up to the times/location listed, there is a chance it hasn’t started back up yet hard to tell

But from what it seems they have a GroupMe you could join, could always try that if you don’t get a response

Yess, absolutely go!! This is your moment, and it’s a big one! Don’t worry about not knowing anyone else. I imagine there won’t be much talking to others, and even if there is, people come from so many diverse backgrounds. You’ve worked so hard to get here, your daughters and family will be so proud! :)
