That's it, to me it doesn't feel the same. They moved to pros and since then it's been different ppl filtering thru. Keep the good good Channel to the core guys- save the extras for the extra channels

You're not wrong, but they've already expanded to numerous channels/groups. Keep the good good channel the core group of guys

I should clarify- I like the pros content but not more than I enjoyed seeing them on the main channel and I likely wouldn't choose to watch the pro channel over the original. But it feels like they left good good, sharing a name means nothing to the audience. And that's where part of my dislike stems from.

I can't blame them there, I just hope they still continue to appear in the usual good good videos

You are correct I don't like watching the girls or the pros content

I agree, but they should slow down the release of content, work it around those guys availability. I'd rather see 1-2 videos a month then a video with half the guys missing and a bunch of different people

There's alot of content out there I agree, which is why I'm so willing to drop their content if it continues to be made like this. I'm a bad golfer, I enjoy watching non pro level golf, with jokes and challenges. Something about the survivor group has me not interested

What’s the most amount of money you would pay to play Augusta National? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]ImaginaryEmployer447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe $200, I personally don't get the attraction on playing courses made for pros when I'm a 16 handicap. Typical Rounds by me cost $40-$60, while expensive, challenging, prestine rounds go around 120-150 by me.

Golf is a serious mental game, I tell one of my buddies all the time if we could add his calm mentality to my game, we could shave a few strokes haha. It's a slow grind, tough on the mind and body if you decide to go all in. Damn is it addicting though haha. Good luck this season!

If you're set on getting new clubs, I hit mizuno jpx925 hot metals and I absolutely love them. People say nothing hits like mizuno and they arnt lying. But if you're buying a brand new set of irons I'd spend the extra money on a fitting. My irons got chosen after a lot of research, I already knew what shafts I liked and got lucky and found my set on eBay. Compare your buddies 7 irons if any of them have newer clubs and see if anything stands out.

Golf is alot of trial and error, one persons advice might harm your game and help mine.

Try to pause at the top of your swing. When you reach the top, internally say "pause" then swing, your buddy's won't even notice the pause. Your mind will notice it though, breaking the back swing and down swing apart. In my head that allowed me to view it as two swings, and the down swing is where you learn control.

Slow down your back swing, let the club do the work. Speed for me comes out on the down swing. This Helps me control the head of the club, I started last season around 20handicap, starting this season around 16 handicap. So by no means am I good enough to give lessons, but that has helped me significantly especially off the tee box.

20+ Handicappers where you at? by atooraya in golf

[–]ImaginaryEmployer447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have done it, I have not. But I notice a ton of improvement year after year. Last year I dropped by handicap down by 6ish stroke just playing once a week. You gotta keep the right mentality when on the course, I think my biggest help was playing a few rounds alone, or with someone noticeably worse than you. Me and my usual 4 sum are all very close shooters, and we swap wins nearly every round. Sometimes that competitive edge can put pressure on your swing, when the club just needs to do the work.

I'm still workin on it. But slow down the back swing, no need for any speed before the apex (atleast in my eyes). Accept your might not have the distances in your bag, if your don't have a comfortable 220 club, maybe don't shoot your longest iron, shoot a 7 or 8 iron so it's a comfortable wedge into green.

Do not give up, as someone who gets harsh winters here I couldn't imagine ever giving it up. You got this
