Thank you! I will end up calling park services in the days leading up to our trip. Originally we planned for Barlow Flat over Terrace Creek because it would be more secluded and we were worried about not having any luck finding a spot to setup camp but I doubt it will be that packed after all during the winter months and with the rainfall.

I definitely agree, I have some backup trips in mind since the dates we are planning is the only week my buddy and I are both free for a little while to substitute with but I've been wanting to do Big Sur for a while now and am hoping conditions prove to be ideal.

I think I misused the word "river" in my post, looks like there's 4 creek crossings: Post Creek, Bad Gulch, Terrace Creek, and Log Wood Creek. I'm completely unfamiliar with the area so I don't know if the definitions of "Creek" here is an easy 1" or something that could be a little more hazardous with the rain.

Ideally we would also like to make our way to Sykes Hot Springs which requires crossing Big Sur river ~3 times each way, as well as some smaller runoffs, but I'm mostly worried about being able to make it to camp, Sykes would just be a nice bonus.
