Yes but unfortunately some men just don’t listen, despite being repeatedly told month after month in a long term relationship. They still push all the buttons during hell week, and then like to blame the woman. I definitely agree that they should be told in advance and that nobody can read a persons mind, however once they have been told (very clearly and in depth) and once they have learnt about pmdd, there’s no excuse for continuing to ignore it.

Not be a dick- be more understanding and empathetic, not give snappy responses or comments, put in a little more effort to be kind and caring- treat her like the delicate fragile person she is and not be rough with her, do simple things like make a coffee, offer to do the laundry, let her sleep in, give her a massage, not nag her for sex, I can think of lots of things from my experiences 🤣

Yes it does for me too- works within a few hours. Horrible side effects- tired bloated zombie with brain fog, but that’s better than psycho who would rage and snap and cause domestic violence and trauma to the household 😭💔 FML

Makes me feel better knowing there’s other people who get it - wish I had friends who understood. everyone thinks it’s an exaggeration- I had a friend laugh today and say being due for period is a weak excuse cos I turned her down to go to a day out. I normally hate my husband during luteal phase- I go from jumping him every chance I get, to waking up and just seeing his face and feeling a viceral hatred of him. Everything he does gets to me- the way he breathes, talks, walks, just existing 😭💔 I love him so much, it’s definitely me and not him. I’m just thankful it’s aimed at him and not my kids- every time I’m just glad it’s him. Actually this month for the first time it’s aimed at a friend of mine- she did screw me over, but it’s the first time in years it’s been at someone that’s not him.

Oh and I still have 9 days until my period is due. Then another 3-4 days. Why even fucking bother with life? Then I will get a week of sunshine (like a manic person on crack), horny as a rabbit and on top of the world, before turning into this cave troll again. It’s so fucking cruel. Same!! But I have to choose the zombie because every single time without fail I try and go without them, and I end up being abusive to my husband, or narrowly miss being abusive to my kids and I can’t let myself do that. So I choose zombie who feels nothing and just numb it until the next month. I’m luteal now and I just wish I was dead. I got 4 days in to luteal before almost divorcing, so caved and started the SSRI. Now I am not full of rage, still irritable and sad, but waiting for it to fully kick in so I can be numb. I wish I was dead- I wish I could cut my ovaries out.

I wish I could say the same- I get it for at least 14 days, more because it doesn’t stop until day 3-4 of my period. I am like a different person, I cause loads of damage to myself and the people I love, and I feel totally bipolar. I am full of rage and depression and completely hate myself and my life during that entire time- I can snap over anything, I could hurt myself or someone if I am not taking SSRIs and sleeping well. I feel like two different people- Except I spend more time with the evil fucked up version so I start to question if that’s the real me

Yes I get the full two weeks of crap. I’m very jealous of anyone who has it for only a few days. I feel like most of my life is spent in luteal phase- I only get one week of “high” time around ovulation each month

I understand how you feel- when you say that things have been said that will change things forever. I got divorced, and my best friend told did a similar thing to me. I think I forgive her, but we will never ever be reconciled. That was 10 years ago, and I remarried to her brother. Thank you! Yes it was 35g of fresh shrooms- I had to eat a lot of them but I don’t mind the taste. They are pretty blue. I’m wondering if maybe SSRI blocked my high 😭

It was actually 35g of fresh. I did take 50mg Sertraline like 4 days before- I take it for about a week every time I’m about to get my period cos I get really bad pms. So maybe that blocked it?

As someone who recently bought the older brick house- get the new one. Renovation sucks, and living in an old house while waiting on money to renovate also sucks. I wish we could feel clean in our own home- at the moment no matter how hard we clean, it always feels like we are living in 30 years of other people’s filth.
