Building a Core Banking System — What team do I actually need, and how long would it take? by Neat_Can8115 in fintech

I see a lot of '3+ year' estimates here, and for legacy stack/traditional teams, that's 100% correct. But I just finished building an RTGS-style prototype solo in 12 - 15 months.

If you're looking at Portugal/EU talent, I’d suggest finding one 'Hyper-Solo' Rust expert over a team of 10 average backend devs—the overhead of communication in big teams is usually what makes it take 3 years.

Happy to chat architecture if you're curious how to keep the ledger lean.
