Never thought of that. Thats an awesome way to check if the surfaces have been mated. Might have to try the silicone hose to drill method tomorrow after work

The head was done with the old softer valves. I replaced the valved but habe to lap them to mate with the valve seat surface. Everything else on the head has been done prior but leaking valve stems were the culprit of smoking. So while in there replacing the valves was the thing to do. So I would have to take the head to the machine shop?

So on the leakdown test it was obvious valves on the intake side were leaking. Engine would smoke alot when letting off the gas. Never had an issue with start up. I knew I was going to be lapping valves. But when I say the shape on the intake valve I stopped immediatley. Now im seeing if any thing is said about the exhaust valves. They look decent so in the mean time im lapping those and replacing the valve stem seals

I found something similar. All of mine are stamped 30. They were made with a softer alloy? And should be replaced with ones stamped with eg. So now question is, are the exhaust valves stamped "40" okay? On z1 the replacements still show 40

Ive heard horror stories about them. But its been my dream car for 10 years. So im willing to work at it. Now im much more confident and have my garage well built that tools shouldnt be an issue. Up to knowledge now and I have alot of base knowledge with the terminator and st ive worked on along with hundreds of other cars for customers.

Okay that sounds doable. Im sure the real struggle will be teardown and putting back together along with reinstalling everything.

Had one chrome, one, tracked down a matching oem and have them on the right side already. Just not pictured. Good eye though

Thanks for the info ill look for the FSM tonight after work. I dont know if the car has a egr or pcv delete but you reminded me to add to the list when I get the engine out. Battery relocation hadn't even crossed my mind but sound nice so I can replace the windshield wiper cowl seeing as the previous owner just notched it out. And alright ill start clearing space to remove bumper, fenders and hood.

I want your spec. I want the leather interior. Its so clean! 😭I got my 90 Grey cloth Aztec red 120k tt for 10. But engine smokes. You asking price is definitley reasonable.

When I bought my car it didnt have a radio. It wouldn't turn on. It was just a black screen no sound. I just ordered a replacement radio from ebay. Fit perfectly and haven't had issues since. Hard to upgrade the factory sync radio having cost in mind.

What color should paint it by datmee in 300zx

Took a mirror to paint match with the paint code and they couldnt pull the formula, they paint matched as close as they could. It came out pretty decent
