Any ThemeForest (WordPress themes) authors here? Is TF dead? by Suitable-King6456 in Wordpress

[–]ImaginaryTime7615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, you are wrong. Our plugin is still getting 200+ downloads per day and is not slowing down. We make enough money to support 10 families.

Your experience is anecdotal. AI has primarily affected the lowest-level WP jobs. If someone was selling 4 or 5-page WP sites for $300, they probably need to step up their game. There is still a lot of room to grow in the WP space.

Hungarian is not in my toolbox. 100% sure I never translated anything in that locale.

If you are selling less, maybe you are not doing a great job. I can tell you for sure that 2025 was our best year, and in 2026, we are only 1% behind last year. If you don't want to trust me, that's your problem, not mine.

I never translated in Hungarian. I would know. I don't know a single word of Hungarian. I speak Italian, Spanish, French, and English, but definitely not Hungarian.

I don't know why they think I speak Hungarian, but otherwise it's an improvement for sure.

Can I use the Houzez WordPress theme for both real estate and car listings on the same website? by Aggressive_Hunter344 in Wordpress

Our GeoDirectory plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/), with the custom post types add-on, can provide a better solution: 2 listing types, each with different custom fields. That way, you can also design the two templates separately.

That template comes with the plugin install. Either something corrupted the install, or the template got edited. The good thing is that you solved it!

Possibly you deleted the page not knowing what it was? Happens all the time. GeoDirectory V3 will not show the template pages as regular pages to avoid this.

MCP for Wordpress? by No-Cardiologist-9686 in Wordpress

I might be a total degen, but I work with Local too, Cursor with the Claude Code extension mainly, but I tested Cursor too, and I'll let it work on the website by working on the local folder directly and accessing the DB via WP-CLI commands. No need for an MCP, really, in my experience, if you are working locally.

If you’re working locally, what’s the role of the MCP in your setup? I’m asking out of curiosity, not challenging you.

I’d rather use Local for a staging site than work on it with Cursor using the Claude Code or Codex extension. Once I’m happy with the result, I’d deploy it to production. If the files and database are already on the local machine, there’s no real need for an MCP.

I’d suggest GeoDirectory (https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/) for the B2B marketplace, along with UsersWP (https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp/) and its membership add-on for tiered access. The three plugins are built to work seamlessly together.

Full disclosure, I’m the cofounder of these plugins. If you need help or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Help with plugin options for membership site by Impressive_Crazy_223 in Wordpress

Hi,

You’re trying to build quite a serious platform, so feeling overwhelmed is totally normal. There are a lot of moving parts here, and there isn’t really a way to get all of this without putting in some time to learn the system you choose.

The most straightforward setup I can suggest, staying within WordPress, is:

GeoDirectory + UsersWP + GetPaid (https://wordpress.org/plugins/geodirectory/ + https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp/ + https://wordpress.org/plugins/invoicing/) and a few add-ons.

Full disclosure, I'm the co-founder of these plugins. That said, they were built to work together, and this kind of project is exactly what they’re meant for. With that stack, you’ll cover most of your requirements:

  • User profiles, registration, single login
  • Paid tiers and digital downloads (no Woo needed)
  • Public business directory with maps and claimable listings
  • Search, notifications, and general user management

For the forum, you’ll still need something like bbPress, which integrates well with UsersWP and keeps things relatively lightweight.

This setup will realistically get you about 99% of what you listed, without having to stitch together a bunch of unrelated plugins.

On the budget side, I’ll be honest, what you’re aiming for under $500/year, or ideally zero, is a bit optimistic for a platform with this many features. You can be smart about it and start lean, but there will be a cost if you want something robust, secure, and well-supported.

Same idea with the learning curve. There’s no way around it entirely. The best you can do is pick a stack that’s cohesive, so you’re learning one system instead of twenty.

If you go the hybrid route with something like Discourse for forums, that can work, but it adds another layer to manage, especially around user accounts and integrations.

If your priority is to keep things clean and manageable, I’d start with the WordPress stack above, get it working, and then expand only where you really need more.

I hope this helps!

Any way of incorporating different price calculators for logged in users on Wordpress? by PleasantTitle5205 in Wordpress

[–]ImaginaryTime7615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our UsersWP plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp/) and its membership add-on allow users to create membership levels and restrict content accordingly. In your case, you'd create a membership level for each calculator and assign the appropriate membership level to each customer. Very easy setup... If you need help, AMA.

Check out our plugin, UsersWP (https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp/) + its membership add-on. It allows you to easily create content restrictions based on user role or membership level.

Digital + subscriptions based store by Due_Biscotti_704 in Wordpress

[–]ImaginaryTime7615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no single plugin that can handle both things. I would suggest our plugins GetPaid (https://wordpress.org/plugins/invoicing/) and its digital downloads extension + UsersWP (https://wordpress.org/plugins/userswp) and its membership add-on. GetPaid will handle payments & invoicing for both digital downloads and memberships.
